We bought me a new engagement ring that went with the wedding ring, and my old engagement ring will go to my right hand come the wedding day and stay their.

i found today that thankfully sits just underneath my engagement ring diamond. i take my engagement ring off every night cos i nearly took my H2B's eye out with it in my sleep once! but when i'm cleaning or something and take it off i always panic and think its gone down the sink, even though we don't have open sink holes! silly lea!

i hated it when my ring was in the shop to get the wax mold done for the wedding ring...... have to collect wedding rings in 4 weeks and leave my engagement ring for a day or couple of hours to get it polished but asked the guy if he can do it close to the wedding and he's agreed........yeahhh

aww glad ur getting ur ring sorted. i havent worn my engagement ring since the end of feb cz i had it re dipped to look the same colour as my wedding ring. not wearing it until the day after the wedding xx

sounds like a great idea. hope they come back soon.. i'm just buying a white gold band as my engagement ring has quite alot of diamonds as does my eternity ring... :)

@ Heather - yeh we went to Hatton Gardens - was a nightmare getting there as Farringdon station is shut at the weekends. @ Rachel - they promised I could go and get my engagement ring on Tuesday... but they have to resize it, clean it, and make a mould for my wedding ring with it... soo we'll soo.... I wont be holding my breath!! lol

Got my ring back today.... had it made a whole size smaller and it's still too big.... I'm not convinced they've actually resized it....

Awww, Kaya, that's not good! Did they not measure your ring size before the 're-sized' it? If they did, it should fit, surely? Did you query it with them?

No they got me to measure it with their ring sizer thing, and I was worried it was gonna be too small, but It seems to be the same size :-s will call them tomorrow to ask them x

Yeh, I'm going to tomorrow, they shut at 5, there's a scratch/chip that wasn't on it before as well..... not sure how they;ve managed that when I've had it for 18 months and never done anything to it. It is super shiny where it's been cleaned though.

my ring was too big when i got it. was gutted it had to be sent off for a while 2 days after getting it and everyone kept grabbing my hand to see it :( after getting it back mine feels exactly the same as before too. havnt a clue if they actually did anything but i wernt sending it a second time!! may get it resized before the wedding.
