had a great night but ow my god was it posh felt overdressed till i walked in n the gardens was huge .tried sum new foods i wouldnt normally goats cheese on top of red onions on garlic bread n sum things i dont even know wat it wa lol.the bride looked lovely was rather drunk hope r day is relaxin as hers ow n her table deks wa good she had fish bowls filled wi sweets think im gunna do that .rite im off coz im drunk n need my bed x

:) Sounds fun. My goal in planning a reception is that everyone gets well fed and those that want to drink can do so at a reasonable price. Everything else is secondary ;)

I love that you are drunk yet still come on here lol. My kinda girl. I was lucky enough to attend a wedding at my chosen venue in June and got a good look at what would happen during mine and even a couple of problems, I mentioned to the wedding planner which was sorted right away!

Totally! It's sounds horrible, our venue has huge windows and as my OH friends we're getting married a whole load of cleaners walked by with bin bags! I got onto the wedding managers right away while I was there and they were horrified it had happened and assured me it would never happen again! I'd hate that to happen ESP as everyone couldn't help but look at them as they walked by!

I was at a friends wedding a couple of weeks ago and she had the same DJ as I've booked. I was really drunk and spoke to him but I can't remember what I said at all that part of the night was a bit of a blur and I know I fell over at some point. Now I'm scared of seeing him again lol. My friend says it was his son so it should be alright but I hope he hasn't told his dad that I'm a drunken bu m.

I've got a wedding on monday and I'm actually not looking forward to it. The wedding is in a registry office (no problems with that) and they will probably just be doing the vows so all over within 20 mins. Then we go to the pub for a buffet and drinks but there will be a 6.5.hour gap inbetween. Not sure what we are supposed to be doing then. Surely photos can't last that long.

If your just having an evening reception surely you'd get married later in the day?
I know most of my guests would end up in the pub for most of that time! X
