I dont know of the Harper centre but just called up google maps and its fairly easy to get to from me, just down the A6, would I be right in saying that it looks like it is one way around the harper centre ? I like Wetherspoons food always is nice and cheap there - not seen that one so I cant comment on wether it is a dive or not lol.

Its ok honest, seems fairly easy to get to, about a half hour trip thats all down the A6, I see there is parking under the centre too, so not as if got to go around looking. We have a little while to sort something anyway so will probably drive up to Bedford at some point - besides want to check out the bridal shops there lol. I know any excuse. : )

Yeah that's the one - I think the Road is actually called the Embankment and is sign posted. They do nice lunches in there too and yummy choc cake - BAD xx

No totally out of my budget range but I looked into it because I love the thought of the reception in a barn!

Yes the barn is beautiful, it is slightly over what we wanted to pay, but it ticks soooo many boxes for us and we would end up spending the money on making up for it else where, like on transport and overnight accomodation, so thought oh well ..lets just do it! lol

There are a few other barns in the area, there is one in Eaton Socon somewhere if you just wanted a reception there, (we are having the whole day at the Barns)

I am DIY (ing) alot of our stuff, invites, menu's, tableplans and guest place names, table centres, and most decoration there, a wishing tree and postbox, got some pics in my albums of things i have made a start on or a mock up of, I cant wait to see how it all goes together now! what are you doing yourself? xx

Me too! The Tithe Barn is beautiful. One of my friend's sisters got married there and was such a lovely day. Good choice! x

I know, I am getting married at the Five Bells in Stanbridge - beautiful historic pub that holds a wedding licence and is reasonably priced. I searched high and low - there are quite a few historic pubs in the area that do good wedding packages. How far would you be willing to travel?

Im up by whipsanade, looking for a venue with nice gardens and not too badly priced but i dont want a "hotel wedding"
