Last night I was thinking about my skin on the big day. I dont really do much atm...wash the face with facewash. Give the body a scrub with shower gel but rarely use exfoliating gels/washes (only when im off out somewhere special).
Then I started to think I should moisturise...maybe clense and tone? So that the skin is glowing for the wedding...
Then I thought Id ask you lovely ladies what you do!? And can you recommend any products? Atm its Nivea Face wash I use. And shower gel from avon haha so not the most expensive stuff out there! lol
CommentAuthorKaren22
I've been thinking about this just recently too, I never use moisturiser, I just wash and go.
My Mum bought me some simple moisturiser the other day so have started using that. It's really good. Xx

You should always cleanse tone and moisturise your skin.... Doesn't really matter what brand you use but should do all 3 steps. I use simple and love it as sensitive skin and then a face scrub once a week xxx

Yeah, cleanse tone and moisturise. I use boots No7 but any will do, honestly x
I'd start having a go with things now so you can find out what works for you...
I've found it to be a bit of a trial and error process as some things make my skin dry, others dead greasy etc.
Fortunately, there are loads of those sample-size gift set things in the post Xmas sale, so I'm gonna get a few different brands and try them out.

I cleanse and moisturize but don't tone - I find that makes me break out and makes my skin sore... I also use Clinique which is excellent.
If a bit skint though and have run out of moisturizer (and not near town shops) then have also used Al - Di 's own brand (Lacura) - which is amazing too..
CommentAuthorJennyHeather
I cleanse every day anyway, i've got exfoliator, toner and moisturiser but my forehead gets oily really easily it's a pain actually because it never used to get oily. I should really start using all 3 again though. Hmm New Year resolution maybe lol.
CommentAuthorMrs Ross
Hi all sorry but i might seem a wee bitty thick but ive started thinking i want to look nice for the big day, so im thinking about cleanser toner and moisturers but my question is this when should you do this? in the morning before you put make up on or just at night please can someone tell me im a little baffled
CommentAuthorJennyHeather
Hmmm I'm not sure when the best time to do it would be, personally mine would be in the morning for the full cleanse, tone, moisturise, and then in the evening I would just cleanse and moisturise (if that would work lol) but I don't wear makeup.
CommentAuthorMrsA-J
When i cleanse and tone i only do it at night time ..but as youve figures am not beauty expert lol xx
CommentAuthorKirstyJ22
You should cleanse twice, tone then moisturise (only a pea sized amount at most) everyday. You're really supposed to do that twice a day but I only do it at night as well. Use an exfoliating face wash in the shower twice a week and use a face masque once a week. I use simple, it's really good if you've got sensitive skin x x
CommentAuthornatalie2614
I use simple too, i cleanse tone and moisturise before I go to bed, but not sure if Im supposed to do it of a morning! of a morning i use a moisturiser once im out the shower x

I only generally cleanse and moisturise, tone just sounds like I should be doing facial exercises to firm up those cheek muscles!!
I use boots botanicals for my face wash, a sensitive one, and either simple or coca butter moisturiser depending if i'm going to be wearing make up and its a good base for the foundation.
Generally it will be hit and miss depending on your skin type, you will find you will probably have a break out in the first 3-4 weeks of your routine as your skin will panic a bit, but it will clear up and look a lot brighter for the big day xx

I was told to cleanse at night before bed as there will be an accumulation of grime throughout the day...
I'm terrible for getting drunk and sleeping in makeup, so I've stocked up on wipes! Also, make sure you're drinking enough water xx

It's surprising even when you cleanse in the morning and night how much grime comes off your face!

I've been using facemasks recently, purely because I got them for Christmas and it helps to get rid off the dead skin cells and grease from too much food. I'm thinking of doing it weekly the closer I get to the wedding day. Find out what your skin type is and cater towards it. I have a greasy T zone and chin and dry cheeks, my skin care is complicated :D
CommentAuthorjoey86
I started using toner about six months ago and to be honest up until that point, I wasn't entirely sure what the fuss was about. However, I've definitely noticed a difference - my skin generally feels smoother and my previous monthly outbreaks aren't as bad as they used to be.
I'm not using anything special - Superdrug's own brand does the trick. I think it's their oily skin range, and I use their face wash, toner and moisturiser. I also use their cucumber make up remover wipes. I was also using this skin serum from their own brand range as well, but I can't seem to find it in any of their stores now!!
One final thing, I stopped using a really heavy foundation on a daily basis and switched to one of those BB creams. I definitely think this has made a difference and my skin doesn't feel as oily or clogged up anymore.
CommentAuthorAmyP7
I use baby wipes to take off my make up and have done for years. I use Estée Lauder advanced night repair cream and skin tone illuminater and moisurise twice a day after each. Have to say my rosea has cleared up. Still get really bad monthly spots about the time I'm due on round my jaw line mainly and don't know how to stop these. Have started trying to moisturise more generally and also put on hair conditioner more often x x
CommentAuthorMrsLJDeaton
you should cleanse tone exfoliate on a daily basis you should have a cleansing ritual you do everyday before you go to work and befroe you go to bed MissA-2-B it depends on your skin type do you have oily skin are you prone to spots or is your face dry where you do require moisturizer but not a heavy moisturizer a light one that leaves your skin glowing and soft baby smooth or are you combination skin oily and dry when your combination skin you mostly tend to stay away from moisturizers as you think they will clog up your pores and make your skin oily like me but atm so having a breakout need my exfoliator which i left in my uni share home wish i had it with me I like to use a good astringent to draw out all the impurities and all dirt oil then i like to deep cleanse then put on a good moisturizer or a good face mask I Need a facial you got me thinking i shall need a beauty regime before the wedding =D <3 X p.s Beauty trained Level 2 & 3

I use wipes to clean my face in the morning and I moisturise with a non oily face moisturiser as I can sometimes get spots, at night I use a smaller electric face cleaner with disposable wipes that works really well, then use toner and moisturiser. Also I have started using this under eye stuff to help with the bags under my eyes, fingers crossed that works.
CommentAuthorRosyF77
I don't really touch the skin on my face as i find products and things mess up my natural balance. If you do wish to use products though, test them out way before your wedding day so you have plenty of time to see if they give you the results you want or if they makeyour skin worse x
CommentAuthorLauraJo87
Also, bare in mind that your skins needs change with the season...always try and use a moisturiser or foundation that gives some degree of uv protection even when it's not massively warm or sunny

I never wear make up either so that makes a difference.
I know Weleda products are very good, it is all natural and very good if you have sensitive skin too and smells fab. We use that at work for facials, we also sell the products too.

CommentAuthorDanielleC6
I swear by Liza earl cleanse and polish. It's a cream cleanser that you massage onto your skin / make up without water, then you remove it all with a hot wet Muslim cloth that comes with it. It's amazing. I'm not a massive fan of their toner, I prefer clarins, then I use Liza earl moisturiser. Once or twice a week I also use a really tough facial scrub made by lush. It's all about finding what's right for you. I always thought moisturising would give me spots but I have been told that moisturising regularly actually helps to avoid spots! X
CommentAuthorLynD
mind, sometimes don't you think that, skin-wise, you get what you're given - some people's skin seems to age quicker than others (I appreciate that there are other factors out there like drinking and smoking)...
I do agree though, drinking enough makes a difference, over Christmas/New Year I drank more tea and less water (drink water a lot at work - due to fact that I can't be bothered to go make tea hehe) - and my skin suffered - looked less dewy (if a 50 year old looks dewy)... in general though I think I'm lucky, my skin was (not so much now) oily - oily skin seems to wrinkle less and I don't really have that many apart from a frown line between my eyes and marionette lines from nose to mouth 0 but they can be sorted out with the soapy glory stuff wrinkle filler (brilliant )

I have just spent all evening looking at a replacement routine. At the moment I am using PRoactiv, although it worked at the beginning (I have been using it about a year) it no longer seems to work as well as it did. I cleanse, tone and moisturise both in the morning and before I got to bed. Silly question, but can your skin become "immune" to what you use? Also, can anyone recommend a suitable replacement? I have "adult acne" prone skin. Thank you! X
CommentAuthorGlitterfairy
I have adult acne prone skin and found either Olay or genetics from @von the best and it does not cause my skin to get worse.
