just curious to find out if anyone had used a particular seamstree on bay of e? found a dress a love at a very reasonable price and don't want it to be a dud. The seamstress is huiyunkitty and advertises that she has a shop in birmingham

ok this lady i was going to go with. emailed and asked if she could do 2 different dresses.....yes no problem. altho as the same as you i was a bit unsure. I have family in bham and asked them to check this place out for me. But before i got the chance i was emailing her and had asked to see some pics of her other previous work. her answer was no i have no photos cant you come to the shop.....hmmmm no i live in scotland. Her answer to this was well why dont you buy one of my dresses from ebay see the quaility and send it back and will give you a refund....this really put me off im affraid. But you never know your luck maybe in and she is genuine, however i found a lovely lady nearby me who has a shop to make the dresses for 30 pounds extra each dress and i think its worth it. I hope you get on well x

hmmm......i'm just so unsure of buying from bay of e but struggling to find lovely dresses that i can afford! may get quotes for the same dress from local dressmakers.....thanks sharon!

it just put me off when she said no to pics then buying a dress and getting a refund....i emailed the girl i was going with and she quoted me 130 each. I said i was on a tight budged and could push to 110 and she agreed, i guess you dont ask, you dont get x

very true, very true. if someone said something like that to me (about the refund) i'd be very suspicious that i would never see the money back!

Just be careful I ordered 1 dress to see what they were like from one seller and it took 6 weeks to come and when it did it was extremely bad the top fit a size 16 and the bottom section was about a size 8 and it was a lace up straight dress (not separates). I'm not bashing bay of e at all but If I were you I'd wait for a good reccomendation then you know your going to get something decent :) xx

I have ordered 5 from them, Was going to get them from ebay but as 2 of the bm's live in Liverpool we all took a road trip and went to their little shop in Birmingham and picking them up in the next 2 weeks, they were fab and I am an awkward cow :0) If you live within a 2 hr trip from them I would go in with your bm's and be measured by them, thats what I did. Can't wait to get them. I also paid £7 per pashmina in the same colours as the bm dresses for them as getting Wed in Oct and didnt want them to be cold. As soon as I do I will post piccies. xxxx

i would never buy a dress what from the bay again, i oordered 5 bridesmaid dress in forever yours 78101 copys and what a mess up i have they kept saying the measurements were wrong that tuck 4 weeks to sort out sending them the SAME measurements everyday, her asking for photos of my bridesmaid umm NOOOOOOO i dont think so, what type of seamstress need pics of kids to get the measurements right, told her after 6/7 weeks i wanted my money back seems that her was refusing to make my dresses then i had to take her to ebay and paypal to get my money back which tuck another 3 weeks instead i went to ann at ybw if you dont know what im on about she has made loads of the girls heres dresses including mine wedding dress and now it should be anyday to receiving my bridesmaid dresses the link is in my pictures with my dress
