    Hi Everyone

I am desperate for a royal blue and silver theme for my December wedding next year. I have a friend who is a florist who will be doing my flowers and table arrangements and has told me that royal blue is out of the question for December. I've therefore been looking at how to do these colours in with my flowers. So, i had an idea of the white flowers and then royal blue and silver baubles in the bouquets and the table arrangements. Has anyone done anything like this and know if its even possible, before I ask my poor friend to do it?! I've seen that you can buy baubles on sticks, although not seen the blue ones anywhere yet. I dont want a 'christmas' theme, but a wintery theme.

    Thanks

I love this idea, can you find the blue baubles then add the sticks?

I'm not sure how i would attach a bauble to a stick? And google isnt helping me much lol. There are loads of blue baubles the perfect colour out there. Just not on sticks lol.

Alternatively you could spray silver ones blue.. there will be a way, just might be a little craft involved :) x

I was considering that Flossie - just wasnt sure if the spray would stick on the glass of the bauble? I'm happy for a little craft :) Just worried about wasting money buying things and then it not working!! x

I'm not sure.. I'm not a huge crafty person myself but seemed like a good idea! There must be different sprays for a range of different materials.. I'd imagine there would be a spray suitable. You could always just try a few to start with and see how they turn out - if it doesn't work, then you wouldn't have wasted a lot of money. I would run the idea past your florist - you never know, she may have even done something similar before and be able to advise you! x

Thank you :) Yeah i might give it a go - assuming my florist is happy with the idea. My brain is in full on wedding mode today, can't concentrate lol. x

You could consider artificial royal blue flowers, possibly in with real ones of another colour. Or maybe have a royal blue ribbon.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

We all have days like that Caroline! I'm particularly bad.. Once I have an idea in my head I HAVE to research it and know everything about it there and then haha. I dangerously have access to the internet at work, so I've been known to spend most of my working day just G00gling wedding things... Oops x

My florist did suggest artifical flowers with real, but i'm not so keen on that idea, Elinor. Just worried that they would look fake next to real ones.
Flossie, i'm the same, keep jumping between work and faffing with wedding stuff. Thankfully i've got out of it being every day!!

you should be able to find some sort of spraypaint that will adhere to most materials.

I remember seeing a blog about bauble bouquets with a how to attached, but can't remember where. I love how they look!

People do them with brooches so don't see why you wouldn't be able to. Small ones would look fantastic and the pics above look great x

I love the idea of baubles in the bouquet I am in contact with someone on facebook who makes bouquets and uses lots of brooches. I like all things vintage so am going for brooches and pearls.
