right where gettin married in a church, but we have to go have our banns or what ever they are called read at our local church, she said all the "do u take this man/woman to be your wife/husband" etc. So does that mean you are actualy married on that day or what? i dont get it, sorry to sound stupid but it dunt make sence to me x

our original plan was a church wedding we had our banns read but we didn't have to attend, from what i gather they just announce that you are getting married and that you are from that parish, this is done so that if someone know of any legal impediment to the marriage they would raise it then, it is also known as "notice of marriage" hope that helps hun xxx
