Just wondering how many of you are having a band and if so, how much are you paying?

We've already got a dj, but my friend is in a band and they're amazing, soo I thought I'd ask him how much, and he said usually they charge £600 but for me he'd get them down to £400.....

I just think it's quite alot, when we've already got a dj who'd be playing most of the night.... and they'd be at the reception anyways :-\ My mum is adamant we should book them, but I'm thinking it may be a waste when we've already got a dj x

£400 is a really good price and if they are good and you can afford it i would snap their hands off. My hubby is in a band and even for a pub gig they charge £350 so £400 for a wedding is a great bargain.

I was thinking maybe a harpist or quartet but haven't started looking yet. Either one sounds expensive. Might just have to put a load of songs together ona play list for during the day and get a dj for the evening (unless his fee includes the daytime too lol)

That's a good price but considering it's a friend it would have been nice for them to do it for less x
