Hi guys really looking for some advice from someone with wht to do bear in mind i a seventeen days awy from getting married.OK so i m only haing small wedding married and church then to venue. first off my original choice of venue burnt down, we then found new venue, the guy was offering help to all brides stranded by the fire. After visiting he offered us the world and on our tight budget we went away very happy since then i have emailed him 9 times asking for a deposit request/payment form, with no response. so last friday mum and i visited the venue to pay money and secure every thing but we could not pay there and then had to transfer it too the bank. So this done we phoned to check whre the gentleman in charge said he had more poblems with my inconsiquental event and was going to cancel my heart just stopped. He demanded payment in full altough the confirmation that he has been promising and agreemnt still has not appeared. Hurt isnt the word but what do i do from here he has my money is bound not to return the monies and i just feel gutted, hurt and sad. i hate this man for what he has done this close to my wedding but what do i do? Please some on offer me some HELP or advice!

How much have you paid him hun? I would contact your local trading standards, and ask them to speak to him?? do you have anything in writting, if you do, is it possible to book another venue, you could later claim the difference in the price and your deposit back. Failing that I would keep a note of all the email you have sent to him and contact your local press... That is outrageous, Im so sorry this has happened to you. Do you have wedding insurance? If so will they pay the costs of rearranging the wedding on a new date to give you time to sort things out.... Failing that I think you are reliant on friends and family to help with a venue?? Good luck hunni, I hope you get it sorted x

Omg, I feel for you hun. I would go and see him, get a contract before you pay anymore money then once you have that then pay the money and get a receipt. If however you are still having problems, I would also go to trading standards and see what they say. See if you can find another venue and explain to them what has happend, you may find one that can help you when they hear what is happening. xxx
