I wondered if anyone else has had a bad experience with a wedding dress shop, here is mine....

The shop (Elegant Gowns, Longbridge) was really busy when we turned up but was told to have a look at the dresses then wait for a fitting room, we waited for 30 minutes but fine as in no rush and happy to relax and wait. When it was my turn the lady put me in a tiny fitting room and left me to it, i asked for help and was told to wait so was in my underwear in a cold, tiny fitting room wondering how on earth to get into this dress?! She helped me in the end but explained they were short staffed and busy but i had been patient and waited so at least expected some attention and help that they were offering to other people. After the 2nd dress and struggling to get into the dress i called my BM to help, the shop assistant was not impressed i asked my BM to help but i was losing patience and needed assistance that i wasnt being offered. I tried on one of the dresses and really loved it but the shop was so busy i coudnt look at it properly in the mirror and there was another bride waiting to view her dress in the mirror so i felt under pressure. In the end i got dressed and i left in tears.

The shop seemed more interested in selling prom dresses rather than wedding dresses and was far to cramp. Buying a wedding dress is a big thing and only ideally do it once and parting with a lot of money so a special occasion and I really liked the range of dresses but would refuse to buy one from that shop as would not feel comfartable going back in. I did however email the dress company and have a list of other shops that sell the same range so can look elsewhere for it too.
