Hey guys :-) Wow feel like I've missed a lot on here, haven't been on for aggeeesss.

Just feel like I need to vent to others lol. Sorry in advance...

Basically, we had decided on our venue and were supposed to go and pay the deposit this week. But now having complete second thoughts. Thought that our venue was great, but every time I think about it now, I keep getting doubts! Just feel like we rushed into choosing somewhere just because of convenience for others. And looking at the price, the cost just keeps creeping higher and higher. Feel really stupid too, as I was so excited when we finally decided on our reception venue and told my mates and family etc, and now I've completely changed my mind!

So back to square one on finding a venue... Although just found a great looking one - lovely looking room, a good buffet choice (and cheaper than our original venue choice) and the cost of hiring is less too. And the building looks gorgeous and is in some lovely grounds (our original venue was a theatre venue in the middle of town.)

Anyone else chop and change their mind like this?! lol. Just feel like such an idiot after telling everyone about our old venue. Was even on the verge the other day of just stuff it and just go abroad and get married lol. x

Its better to start over now than before you put a deposit down and commit to something you will regret. No one will judge you or think you are crazy if you tell them that you have found an even better venue that the previous one.

I chop and change my mind all the time hun! I sent out wedding invites only to have to tell everybody a week later there isn't going to be a wedding! :(

Don't feel like an idiot hun, if it wasn't or isn't what you want you don't have to settle for it just for the convenience of others as it's not for them the reason as to why u are getting wed!

There is still plenty of time for you to look around and make sure you make the correct decision. You dont want to be sat there the day before regretting it! Hope you find the venue of your dreams! x

Thanks guys. Our first venue was great, but maybe it was a bit too much for us. It was convenient for us as well, not just for others - it was right opposite the registry office lol. But it was the price that was making me think if it was worth it. And by the looks of it, places further out towards Bromley rather than Croydon are nicer and less expensive! But yes am glad I'm changing my mind now! I think I was just so desperate to get something booked lol. Idiot me. Also, something happened this week that made me re-assess everything, so am thinking this is all for the best :-) x

we have changed mind on colour scheme but not venue. Dont put any deposits down unless absolutely sure. Have u put a deposit down?

yeah joey86 dont commit to a venue till your certain.... im LOVING visiting different venues!! got 2 to see this week and another on the 27th and weve been to one a few weeks ago... i particularly like when they give u a bucksfizz while your looking around haha!! that puts them higher on the list!! xx

My venue double booked and only told us in january so we sacked them and found another one and changed everything!! whatever you're happiest with its fine to change your mind its a ladies perogative!
