    I ahd an early scan at 5 weeks but they couldnt see a hearbeat is this normal this is my 1st child so am a bit worried

    You wont see a heart beat if your under 6 weeks pregnant. The heart beat is normally visable 6 weeks plus x

    I had an early scan was I was preg, and you can't see heartbeat that early hun, so I wouldn't worry. x

    Wow 5 weeks is REALLY early!

    Dont worry everything is so small at that stage it will be hard to see. Thats why they normally do the first scan at around 12 weeks so they can see and hear what they have too.

    At least 6-8 weeks hun - they'd have mentioned if they thought something was wrong eg. embryo wasn't big enough for dates. Try not to worry (I know that's easier said than done in the early days!) x

    they didnt seam 2 worried it has just been on my mind thanks a feel a little bit better now just cant wait 4 my 12 weeks scan x

    Those first 12 weeks seem to take forever! Me and H2B had been trying for so long, and suffered losses and it was just so nervewracking! When we went to the 12 week scan we were both holding our breath! The sonographer said 'there's the heartbeat' and I just burst into floods of tears! Now we have a beautiful 17 month old daughter! Good luck hun and congratulations! x

    thank we suffered m/c in march this year so we still raw from that i hope everything goes well x my scan on 10 august hope it just flies in x

    It is nothing to worry about at this stage of a pregnancy as most people have said it is often to early to identify a heartbeat at 5 weeks
