I moved into my h2b's house last year mainly because i was renting and he owns his house, well our house now. Because we're older and got most bits we decided to ask for vouchers for b & q so we can update the kitchen. Is anyone else asking for these or something similiar

we are asking for money to be put towards our honeymoon spending money and anything we think we would need extra for the house. but at the moment we cant think of anything apart for spending money for honeymoon lol xx

We also have everything we need, we've lived together for 11 years and if there's anything we want we just go and buy it. We are putting a poem into our invites explaining that we have everything and that we would appreciate money to go towards our honeymoon. Rather we have something we want then something that doesnt get used or is hidden out the way :) xx

Sounds good. We've been really lucky and my parents have paid for us to have a honeymoon in the Lakes so getting the house updated seemed like a better idea to get help with

We're asking for Argos vouchers. They're valid for like 5 years so we can get all sorts of stuff as and when we need/want it.
We have lived together for 6 years and have everything we want except double glazing.... i know its sounds silly but we were saving for double glazing until we got engaged and the money has now gone into the wedding pot so still after double glazing. My parents are paying for our honeymoon so we are going to ask for money for glazing and write a silly poem along those lines.... i think its common for people to ask for vouchers or money know a days - i went to 4 weddings last year and all asked for money xxx

I think people expect to be asked for money nowadays.... the weddings we went to last year i gave money plus a little present so got some personalised wine glasses for each couple as felt it was still nice to open something other than money xx

i have done a gift list for Arg0s but included vouchers. mil think id be better asking for cash but tbh all the stuff ive put down on the list needs to be replaced so in my eyes ive given the option, hit the gift list or give us cash either way the stuff will be replaced.
