I know there are plenty of threads going around about Hen Nights/Weekends at the moment but I am currently researching and want to know just quick fire prices you paid for your's or your friends hen parties . . and also what you would be willing to pay!

I know it's all down to personal preference and individual financial situations but just to get a bit of a heads up of what I could possibly cheekily work up to etc....

Personally, I would never pay hundreds for a hen do even if it was a really close friend because I simply couldn't find the money. Ideally I'd spend about £50. I know a lot of people will read this and think I'm being cheap but I couldn't afford any more. Weddings are already expensive for guests with new outfits, presents, travel, possible stay overnight etc.

The greatest thing you'll ever learn
is just to love and be loved in return

I'd rather pay less to go on a hen night and more on the couples present, especially as Joanna says, theres already plenty else to fork out for

I think if you've paid a bit to go on any of ur friends hen dos or birthday nights out etc...they should do the same bk,we went to my friend amies at centre Parcs which cost us £90 to go then £20 fuel each for me and a friend then we still had eats, drinks, activities to pay for when we got there etc....
It's unfair for them to say no bk if you've paid a bit for theirs x

Personally it depends what kind of hen party it is and whether it is my cup of tea or not. I am not really in to clubbing or paintbaling etc so wouldn't pay much for that. However I love the sun and so weekends in Spain costing £300 would be fine (as long as I had notice) and I love lazy girly weekends so a cottage somewhere for a weekend I would also be willing to pay a couple of hundred for.

When it comes to my hen party I know all the people I invite have good jobs etc and spend money left right and centre so price won't be an issue as long as I give them notice for time off work etc - getting them to come camping however was an issue so I have opted for glamping!!!

It really does depend on your friends financial state - have you been on any of their hen parties? If so you could work from their budget maybe?

I've looked into stuff & it will be £111.95pp & won't be until next June, I've spoken to everyone that I want to come & they're more than happy with that, they actually think it's cheap for what we'll be getting/doing! They're aware they may have to pay a deposit & I said I'll give them a couple months notice & then they've got well over a year to put money away. So it just depends on what you get for your money as to whether it'd be worth it & how much notice they have & time to save :) xx

ah yeh true. so jealous of you ladies doing it way cheaper than anything ive found!

only cheaper option is to have it local and night out meal/bar but i can do local anytime, and there is a reason i dont haha.

trying to find a package deal at get it as near to £100 as i can rather than £200! which isnt fair considering i got to fork out £250 for my FSIL!! and she's moaning at me saying whatever i do gotta be cheaper. she can find the money but with 3 jobs and still being skint...
guilt trip much!! haha im sure ill find something.
found a couple of nice ideas for 140/150ish but feel thats quite a bit... hmm!! thanks ladies xx

I organised one nearly 2 years ago, where we all paid £180, but it was split over a year so everyone paid in instalments. Everyone knew the price before they agreed to come. I'm not sure how much mine will cost because I'm not allowed to know any details.

We're going to Newquay for mine. The hotel is £50 for the 2 nights (bargain!) and will be about £25 in transport costs. Plus all the spends whilst down there. 2 of my bridesmaids are meeting up tonight to discuss some ideas for while we're down there (which i'm not allowed to know about) but i have asked them to keep the cost to an absolute minimum because like most have you have said, it's not fair to ask people to shell out a fortune.

    Oh definitely.
See with you your's is costing £75 for accom and transport. but then you have to add on spends whilst there....that correct?
So with what i've looked at it wont cost THAT much more really???

I think with these package hen weekends people see the overall price and think woah... but if you take the time to break it down it doesnt seem as bad if that makes sense? what you think?

Like the one ive come up with thats 150 i think or 170 at most.... (still high price i know but...) Leeds, Manchester or Nottingham

2 nights stay in a 3/4* hotel with full english breakfast included both days,

First Night: Ultimate Girly Night Cinema Experience (7pm - midnight)

    - delicious buffet served in your private party room for you and your group
    - Enjoy a great girly night in with your Private Cinema Screening of the ultimate girly classics
    - Choose from a whole Host of Films whether that be Mamma Mia, Dirty Dancing or Grease just to name a few, set up on a 6ft projector screen
    - A member of staff will be on hand should you wish to order any cheeky drinks whilst you enjoy your film

Day: Cocktail Making (1.5 hours during afternoon)

    - enjoy a Strawberry Daiquiri each on arrival
    - Then kick start your session with a Flavoured Vodka Shot to Toast the Host
    - Your Group will get an introduction into the history of Cocktails and what magical ingredients make the best party tipples
    - Enjoy a private lesson with your expert Cocktail Master.
    - Experience training in various cocktail techniques including how to shake, muddle, strain and stir in style
    - Your group will sample up to 5 classic cocktails as they are demonstrated to you by your Cocktail Master-
    - each member of your party ventures behind the bar to shake it up for themselves choosing from the list above or the venues full cocktail menu
    - Your session will include some great games and fun team activities like races and blindfolded challenges to name a few
    - Each member of the group will be presented with a Certificate of Participation
    - The Bride / Leading Party Lady will also receive a keepsake of the event of tasty cocktail recipes
    - A farewell drink in the form of a ‘Vodka Shot Train’ will complete your session
    - enjoy some delicious party food platters after the session

Night: After Dark Hen Party (either normal or VIP but both inc VIP access...)

    - Includes a delicious 2 Course Meal in a vibrant city centre venue. Select your favourite cuisine (mexican, italian etc...)
    - Just let us know upon booking if you wish to frequent the mad party bars or the more chic cocktail bars and they give you a guide
    - VIP Club entry into one of the City’s best Night Clubs.
There are no minimum or maximum group size restrictions for this event

Some of our venues offer our UKGirlThing clients exclusive up-grades such as wine on arrival and extra courses.

Then Sunday morning got check out at like 12pm, after breakfast (included again) to then go home...

So any extra money would be drinking right? I don't see anything where you really have to pay extra... apart from transport and will only be a few of us so could either share driving or get a coach which my OH could get a good deal as he works for NatXpres!

Now if i want to include a chocolate making session with like 30-40 belgian chocolates to take away mmm haha its another £40 but that doesnt need it!

Obviously cheapest option is to stay local and like i said there isnt much to do here and my mates all live all over so distance to travel to local spot would be just as much time as to go elsewhere really....

hmmm! What you reckon? or am i just trying to make a high price sound better? x

Yeh that's the thing I got a hen do to go to in aug in Rome for £250 that only covers flight & accom. No meals or drinks Etc!
So these packages are good money yes may not be cheap but can tailor fit for cheaper location/venue/less activities etc but good money in terms if what u get.

So If you have hotel for 50 and travel for 20/25 that's 75 already. 2 breakfasts, 2 lunch 2 dinner & then drinks it does work out similar.....?? Or am I fighting a losing battle haha!

Obviously would rather spend less than more but can't complain with that really?? Xx

Ours is costing £45 pp for three nights accommodation....we will probably have one mad night, one going out for a nice meal night and one chilling out night, so I reckon spends will come to around £100 per person.

I ink some of the package deals are great value, it I just really wanted to go back to this cottage in Whitby
, otherwise I would probably have done something similar xx

    haha thanks ladies.

well after getting into a right stress and big huff over it all... am having to cut out the movie night and turn it into just the cocktail making/vip night out instead! which is fine as can do movie night anytime i guess!!
so looking at more 93-104 tops.

have put it all together on a word doc, and attached it to a group ive made on bookface where added every1..and wil see how it goes from there!
My FSIL moaned at me about not being able to afford a £20 hair trial yesterday so will see what she makes of this!

I appreciate everyone has financial difficulties at the moment, me especially but i am trying my best to make a fun time for all!! will see how it goes down... just an idea at moment and if no luck then ill probs just say sod it im afraid i cba with anymore stress over it!!

Dont mean to sound ungrateful or selfish or anything like that cuz i know its a lot to ask of anyone at anytime!!
but I worked out that a night out locally would cost just as much if not more thats not inc an activity in day time so rather than stressing over it ill just do something with my MOH if worse comes worse!!

Thanks for your help and advice ladies and im sorry for being such a moaner over it all xx

I really wanted to do cocktail making but the only time slot they had clashed with everything else we wanted to do.

    so.....
    1. Spa Day for £30 we are each having a 55min jasmine prescription manicure (no idea what they do for an hour but it sounds good!), afternoon tea and full access to all the spa facilities for 5 hours

    2. Dining out at Artorios - a mediterranean tapas restaurant (my fave!)....they have offered to create us a special 3 course menu for £20/head so that theres less fuss about cost and they are blocking off a 1/3 of the restaurant and all the balcony for us to drink and play games too

    3. Out on the town..
Haven't organised that properly yet but there are plenty of VIP options and deals going so that will be easy.

There was limited space at the spa so my favourite girls (and guys lol!!!) are coming to that and then i have told everyone I wont be offended if they cant come to everything because i know its expensive and that i would love to see them even if its only for dinner or a few drinks and a dance!!!
