I'm doing my own make-up; hoping this will be a good idea, but hey, I have 2 years to practice! lol. So, for that, it'll just be the cost of good quality products suitable for photographs etc.

I'm not 100% what my hair will cost; I get it put up a couple times a year for parties, and it costs about £45-50. So, I think I'll be looking at around £100 (for a trial and my hair on the day), plus travel costs and time; I want to get ready at our venue, which is 30 minutes away from my hair salon (I will not be letting anyone else do it lol), so I reckon I could be looking at another £100 for travel costs and time; so, £200 in total. Though, my hairdresser has kind of hinted that she might be able to book holiday that day, and strike some kind of deal, so we'll see!

Wouldn't say £200 is average, I think £80-100 for the bride is about average? Not sure though. Then obv if your BMs are having theirs done, that will cost more (mine are doing their own; my mum will prob get hers done, so, another £50 for her I imagine)

I'm also doing my own makeup as I don't like people touching my face lol. My hair for me and four bridesmaids including my trial is costing 100 but we are going to her on the day (the salon is only down the road). Prices really depend on what you want doing and if your willing to travel to them or want them to come to you. When you have a look make sure you get loads of quotes and ask for peoples 'best prices' you never know they might offer a discount for you if they are doing your bridesmaids too. Hope this helps! x

wow seems expensive here! Hair i can get done for about £50 with my mums hair dresser who comes to the house anyway but make up i get quotes like £60 for a trial and the same again on the day. I might go to a big store and buy some decent make up and do it myself - i have time to practice x

I paid £70 for my trial and the day for my hair. Could have been £30 but my usual hairdresser who was going to do it is away so booked me in with the boss!

The cheapest way (if you want someone else to do it) is to try and find a hairdresser who can also do makeup.

We are looking at eighty quid for makeup which includes a trial...I think I might do mu own tbh!

I want to look quite natural and don't mind spending a bit in decent stuff xx

I am paying £50 for hair up for me and 2 bm's including trials. I also need to ask her to do mums hair but thats just a blowdry on the day so shouldnt be too much extra. Its one of the bm's sisters so im getting a good deal.

Not sure about make up yet, need to start ringing around and emailing liverpool based make up artists and if I cant find anything then we're going to the make up counters and getting lessons and i'll buy the stuff and do it myself.

Luckily I have SIL2B doing all our hair for free that's me, 4 BM's and my mums hair! I was going to get someone else to do the BM's but she insisted that she should do them all, but not sure about make-up yet I prefer to do it myself, but I may get someone just to do my eyes coz I'm crap at that lol :-) x

I am paying £175 for hair and she is coming to the house on the day... this price includes trial for myself and one of my sisters who is bridesmaid and then myself and my 3 bridesmaids on the day. I havn't booked make up yet but from having a glance on the internet at people local in my area is it looking at about £80-100. That is for trial and on the day (particularly wanting airbrush makeup).

I'm not sure about having my make up done - in theory i'd like it done as i think they'll make me look better than I could but i'm worried that i'll look like i've got too much on or they won't do it right! Is anyone else not sure if they want it or not? I'll defo have to get someone to do my hair - i'm useless!!

I dont like people touching my face either Tatty, haha! I remember a face painting i had as a kid and it still makes me feel funny! I think its the eye make up that gets me, it gives me the heebee jeebies, dont know how il get past that as i really want someone else to do it so i can just lie back with my eyes closed and a glass of shampoo!!

Ive not budgetted for it yet, I also need to decide who will be doing the bm's hair and makeup as im not sure il be able to afford us all. bahhhh

Ours was a little over £200 for me and 4 BM plus my mum on the day and a trial for me and one BM. I didn't think it was too bad particularly as I have a ridiculous amount of hair and it took ages to put it up.

I did my own make up, I have a problem with my eyes so hate having anyone near them, I treated myself to some lovely make up instead and git some tips from the make up counters.
