Hey folks jst really a rant about the hotel group Aurora!!!!
Had my wedding booked for last 7months for Melville castle for 21/04/12! They now decide that they are no longer goin to function at this site and relocate!!!
Not only have they ruined most of my plans (alot of my things were booked within the area of this hotel and depostis paid) but when i called to organise the return of my deposit i was hoping for a little sympathy or extreme apologies!! All i got was "you will recieve a cheque in the post for the amount of your deposit, no compensation will be given and you are welcome to arrange a visit to our new location." Ha, dont think so!!!!!
I then recieved the letter, thinking a letter would be attached with an offical apology, but again i was wrong!! Jst a Glenbervie headed piece of paper with no writing and a cheque stapled to it!!!!
What a bloody let down from such a big company!! I would advise all to stay well clear of this group!!!! Rant over lol!!! p.s Sorry, folks had to get that off my chest!!
apparently not, within the contract it says if the venue is closing down then only have to return deposit!!! They have it all covered in the contract!!!

I feel your pain hun!! The same thing happened to us!! All the money on invites and save the dates down the drain!!! The company are horrific, I was promised email after email and recieved nothing. Eventually after many phone calls later I was told "no further emails will be sent regarding this matter" so thats that!

Bloody hell, that's appalling :( I would go to Watchdog, local papers etc.... and put the boot in, how dare they treat you like that knowing it's a such a big deal.

it sounds diabolical but we checked our contract even tho hopefully nothing will happen and they say the same.... its as if they are just allowed to get away with this level of disruption. I know u have to read it and sign it but we werent happy with this area but its the same all over no matter where you go so if you dont sign you dont get married, Theyre not daft are they

its crap nikki!! it is absolutly ridiculos for such a big company!! Ive also heard their Colossios hotel have canceled weddings too due to not being ready in time!! something should be done about it!! Ive complained to everything i can think of but gettingh no where!! :( x x
