    Hi Ladies
So last night I received a phone call from my mum, telling me that she had spoken to my cousin who has just book the hotel for my wedding and was just wondering if her dad (my uncle) was also invited. My mum said “yes of course he is".
When she told me this I went into total panic as I had totally missed him off my invite list and my seating plan. This wouldn’t have been such an issue only that last week we were informed that to have our reception in the room I want with a traditional top table the guest number is actually 68 not 72!! Meaning I had to cut 4 people off the day list already. Now I have to cut someone else to accommodate my uncle.

I really want my uncle to be there and the only reason he was missed off was because I had been working of my save the dates list. He wasn’t sent a save the date as we sent them out just weeks after my aunt had passed away and we felt it would not be the right time to bring up a big family wedding.

What should I do? Do I cut out another friend to make way for my family or do I come clean and just invite him to the evening reception!!! I am totally torn and quite distraught that I have made such a massive mistake!!! :'o(

If it was me personally I would cut another friend off, but it's your wedding hun and your choice, i'm sure whoever you can't have there in the day will understand and when you explain the situation to them, they'll be happy to just attend in the evening, Good Luck hun x

is there no way you can contact your venue and see if you can squeeze him in somehow. i can understand you not wanting to send the std card out under the circumstances but im sure if u explain to the venue they may allow him in there. xxx

have you had all your RSVP's back? if not then wait and see if anyone drops out we had alot of people drop out as it was summer and they went on holiday the weekend of our wedding! I'm sure the venue will help if they can, but they do have a strict fire reulations policy in place at all hotels and the like, so they might not want to over fill the room. good luck x

no but most have already booked the hotel so i know they are defo coming. the only uncertain people are a friend who is traveling from mexico and H2B's great aunt who might not be up to travel but will no doubt rsvp yes and pull out at last minute which doesnt really help as i would need to send him a invitation before then.
think i will just bump the other friend and if we do get anyone drop out we can bump her back up, she wouldnt mind and would totally understand.
Think this is my only solution!!!
Thanks for all the advice ladies
    xx
