Wedding Forum - August 2015 Brides unite ;)...

We got the first draft from the celebrant on how our ceremony is going to flow. Nearly cried at work with how beautiful it is. There are sme parts we're not getting to see yet which is the questions he asked us about how we met, what marriage means to us etc. Going to run through it with OH tonight.

Still need to organise an appointment with videographer so will email them also tonight. Email the caterer with final numbers and also final decision on veggie option for carvery meal.

There is still some decorating things that we have to do and we found a great bargain at H@meb@se. We have all the lawn games now as well so they are stored away in our spare room. Final meeting with venue is on the 12th and I am really excited for it :D

I am wondering if we should have a small diy sweet table alongside the buffet in the evening, will have to discuss with h2b soon I think. I could have my mum bring some kiwi sweets over to add a bit more kiwi-ness to it.

I need to order the memory charm for my bouquet soon with the picture of my dad since he passed away 8years ago and will not be there to walk me down the aisle in person.

I think we lack the finishing touches but H2B thinks we have to much, it's so hard to imagine it all together on the day x

We met the photographer at the venue yesterday to talk through the day and locations for shots etc, then we had our final details meeting with the venue coordinator and PAID THE BALANCE!! Eeeeeee!!

So far my OH and I aren't giving gifts to eachother but from what I have heard someone in the bridal party (not the bride or groom themselves) do the swap and give it to the recipients while they are getting ready.

I think that I've got like not little touches or decoration for the venue and it's real difficult to picture! And oh is like why do we need it? What's that for? Why do we have to have hearts everywhere etc etc! Not helpful! I really wanted those huge light up love signs to have at the back the dance floor that make great pictures they're £150 to hire from our venue but oh is like but why?!!! Lol and they have indoor fireworks Roman candles for the first dance which look amaze in the pictures I've seen, again when the lady said they're £75 oh was like what?!!! Ha! :/
We aren't sure if we are doing gifts depends what we have left in the pig but if we do I would leave it at the hotel the night before for oh to open the next day, not that he would prob remember! Lol

I am till trying to figure out the final details, we need to sit down and do a table plan very soon but still waiting on those last few pesky RSVPs .

The vicar has now given us some dates for a meeting with him so as soon as h2b is home from golf I will check which one is best for him (not even married but already a golf widow!)

I would LOVE the light up letters, I know you can get them in your initials so was hoping to track down letters to make MAD with Black cut outs arouns it so it says "We're all MAD here" but OH thinks it's a waste of money and he's been pretty okay to let me get away with things but oh well.

Feeling a little annoyed with one guest, I originally only invited this certain friend(this was in march), she messaged me asking for a plus one(I didn't even know she had a plus one, she had apparently been with 6 months!!!) our spaces were all full but we agreed and had to pay an additional £45 for him to attend and she turned around yday and said they av split so he won't be coming, literally 2 days after we had paid the extra for him as our balance was due on the 1st.

I have said its fine to her as I'm not a cow and break ups are hard but I side I'm so angry I've now wasted £45 that ill never get back. Grrrrr

That is so annoying! Personally I would be asking her to foot the bill.

Went to cinema for a 5pm showing and twisted my left ankle stepping off a kerb and SPLAT right onto my hands and knee's and really badly hurt my left hand. Still hobbled into cinema and figured a couple hours of sitting still wont be too bad. Walking out was way sore though. Nothing broken, thank goodness but, left ankle is swollen like a balloon and hand is sore as hell. Ironically I work in accident reporting for my employer so using my well accumulated knowledge to sulk on my sofa with a couple ice packs.

Thank goodness this happened now with 5 weeks to go!

Hand still screwed up and same with ankle :( OH is going to take me to a&e tonight after he gets home from work. Really hoping they don't find anything that can't heal quickly.

I think weddings definitely bring peoples true colours out, people who are meant to support you just seem to let you down or not be interested

Ha great pic! Well oh finally got peed off that he's still not booked it so sent a ranting message which made him look up the hotel, I mean really how can you say you can't book it yet due to lack of monies if you've not even looked at it yet?!! Anyway so after a load of faff he comes back with well it's £165 for 2 nights for the family room, which I think is reasonable since its like a month to go!, but he says it's expensive so he will have to borrow the money to book it.. Cue him then writing on fb about doing a protein order and buying new trainers tomor... But anywYs.. So oh says you don't pay until arrival I've just looked it up!! And best man is like oh ok I'll look tomor then?!..,
I mean is it unreasonable to hope someone would show more interest and step up?! He's not had to pay for anything else! As he didn't arrange a stag we've paid for the suits.. So really?!

Sprucey that is a good price our rooms have been discounted to 135 just for 1 night and family rooms are a lot more.... I had to tell a lot of guests that you don't pay until arrival but once they knew this our rooms booked up very quickly
