It's getting close now ladies! 2 months until August x

I'm so excited. Had a meeting with the venue last night and it went really well. I don't think I could have founder a nicer venue staff wise if I'd have paid 10 x the amount I've paid for my wedding. Tracey the planning coordinator is so nice, I asked so many questions aloft he line of can we have,is it ok to and she just replies its you wedding you have and do what to want. I'm so lucky x

It's getting so exciting now.....I am seeing MY ACTUAL dress for the first time tomorrow! 26.5 hours to go! EEK!

It's IS getting exciting! So pleased you're all getting on well with your wedding planners - must be lovely to have someone you trust to just get stuff done how you want it?

I've arranged to work from home every Friday between now and the wedding so I can be in for deliveries. I got bored of running to my local sorting office with different missed delivery card each day.

It's great - a lovely sunny day and I'm sat on the balcony working. Every so often a courier arrives with a parcel. Already today we've had: half a dozen bottles of artisanal lemon ketchup (to go with our seafood platters at the reception); 10m of checked cotton fabric (for me to make into table cloths); 2 huge builders buckets (for storing ice and wine in at the party). Still to come - 20l of scrumpy coming from a cider farm near where I grew up.

Rebecca that's great you can work from home for deliveries, must be exciting getting all the wedding bits coming through, I remember getting all the deliveries for wedding stuff, I loved it.

Rebecca that's great you can work from home on the run up to the day :) I'm lucky that our postal delivery office is right next door to my work so any missed deliveries I just pop in either before work or during a break.

Currently sitting outside in the sun on my break now :-D listening to my iPod with a fruit pastels ice lollie. Sometimes being a grown up isn't bad ;-)

Awe bless! My best friend who is giving me away called me last night asking if we are following tradition where the "father of the bride" who she is sitting in for, if doing the first speech at the meal.

Being honest this isn't something I thought about, the order of speeches that is. Had to actually do research of this. She wants to go first because its relevant to her speech and a joke. Was a good laugh on the phone because she sounded really panicked about asking. Love that woman.

Came home from my hen weekend about an hour ago, man I'm burst early night for me tonight, will update soon.

Got a call to say da kilt has arrived and he's going on sat for his fitting

feeling a little more positive about things now and getting a little more excited as realisation hits it nearly 8 weeks to go!! starting to tackle the little diy jobs for the wedding and I have had great news about my next career move which I will fingers crossed start after the wedding :)

off to re visit the venue on Thursday which will help put decorations into perspective

Hi ladies soz haven't been on in a while tres busy! But this weekend is my hen weekend!! I wasn't too bothered about having one before, just thought it's another expense! But now really excited that us girls are having a little get together, no idea where we are going and don't think there will be many of us but it'll be fun! I've got myself new lipsy dresses as a treat and I love them!!
I'm feeling like there's something for the wedding I should be doing but feel like everything's mostly done apart from a few bits!
Mrs hurren the suits are so cute where they from? Victoria where did you go on your hen? Glad you had a great time!

Just had a call from my venue their wedding planner has changed again lol. not to worry its someone that's worked at the hotel for a long time and also helped out at a lot of the weddings.

Asked them i they could book us in for our final meeting on 11th or 12th july and waiting on the getting back to me. ingers crossed do it that weekend and that's everything done and dusted.

Yesterday was a busy day. Spent 3 hours at the makeup artists/hairdresser for both hair and makeup trials. Forgot to take pictures of the hair down but here is the accidental hair up which looked fab when she clipped it up for me until I tried on my dress later in the day. My stylist has said when she returns later in the evening of the wedding day to do the kids face painting she is more than happy to take me aside to clip up my hair if I want a change or too hot :D

Afterwards went to the seamstress for first fitting. I've lost two dress sizes so waist and bust needs taking in a bit but here you get an idea of what my hair down looks like :)

Appy my H2B saw my make up but not my hair, before I left my hair & make up ladies house she removed my updo leaving me with big bouncy curls (which I loved). H2B really wants me to have my hair down but that's the norm for me so I'm having an updo, didn't want to give him a chance to try & persuade me before the big day.

My oh has seen both I wanted to know he liked it as I didn't want that playing on my mind on the day that he may not like it as I'm having an up du and never wear my hair up. X

Elizabeth I know what you mean. When I had it on again and saw myself as I look in those pictures I got very emotional. Didn't cry but I just felt so happy and want the wedding day to be here so OH can see me as I want to be seen.

That would certainly do it :) Is that him home for good now?

I have my first seamstress appointment next weekend and a venue meeting. The following weekend is my make up trial and the weekend after that is my hair trial.

Struggling with decorations for the venue, but hoping to have some ideas after the meeting next week.

RSVPs are due in by June 30th, so far we have 30people definately attending, our minimum number is 60 - I am starting to feel a lot of chasing to come. We have a wedding website where people can RSVP so there shouldn't be any delays with post or anything.

It's getting close now, starting to get a bit excited!

Oh wow KimberleyR78 make sure you let us see a pic of it though of your cake topper unless you're wanting to keep that as a surprise for us too?

We've had most of our guests returned RSVP but still waiting on one from my cousin which involves a family of 5. I've sent him a message on FB messanger and I know he has looked at it (the wonders of tech) but hasn't replied and that was nearly 2 weeks ago and one of my friends who one moment said will definately come (didn't send back RSVP though) and then asked when it was its stated very clearly on the invite) told her the date again making sure to state it is a monday (again this was made clear on the invite) and also time and location. What does she come back with? "Oh, its a Monday? I didn't know it was a Monday. I'll have to get back to you" then later came back with (pause for effect) "Can you make it a Saturday?"

... Sure, yeah, I can move absalutely everyone, tell all my guests and suppliers, not to mention the registrar and the wedding the Saturday before my wedding "Sorry, my date isn't convenient for me friend who I haven't seen in years, can you change it to accomodate?" Urgh. Told her she also had two weeks to decide if she could come or not because we're submitting final numbers on the 12th July.

Ordered all my bridesmaid jewlery today, along with mine. Can't wait now x

I have an order or service to proof read, they have included 2 hymns which we said we didn't want so going to get h2b to have a word and get them taken out as I don't want a long service because of the kids.

h2b was here when I started my hair trial but popped out half way through and by the time he was home I had taken most of it out but I feel like I want reassurance he is going to like it as its not something I would normally have.... 7 weeks to go!

H2B has just had the same for his stag do but he was let down by his so called best man!! Luckily they found someone at short notice to take his place otherwise we would have been out of pocket £70 :(
What was worse is the lies he told H2B!! Apparently he went to A&E in agony, they diagnosed him with a bladder & kidney infection,
but it turns out he actually went to summer solstice instead.
I will be returning his suit asap as he is certainly no best man!! He has been H2B's best friend for 30+ years I have always told H2B there friendship is 1 sided (he only ever came around when he wanted something), he finally agrees with me.

Sprucey maybe message or call her & ask if she is still planning on paying her share as you had to cover her cost, if she says no or doesn't reply send a further message, saying due to unexpected expenses you now cant afford to attend her wedding!!

I think he'll ask his brother, he is already a groomsman so no extra expense, as we've already got him the matching suit, etc.

That doesn't sounds like a very good friend :( My OH had his stag 2 weeks ago just him and his BMAN. He's not big on being the centre of attention but they went to see Clarkson, Hammond and May Live (Top Grear) in Sheffield.

i did ask this as well as I wanted to sort numbers, I was advised to wait till the rsvp date otherwise it may come off a little rude. I waited till the rsvp date still had to chase a few but had given myself plenty of time

Oh deary me, the dreams have started I cant remember all of them but last night I was shouting in my sleep at one of my friends because she said she should be marrying Alan not me.

Her and Alan were friends before I met him and she got the two of us together. however on my hen weekend she decided to tell one of my other friends she was with Alan before me which isnt true they were just good friends I fel out with her years ago because she basically told me she was in love with Alan but we got close again after FIL passed away but I am now thinking she should do one again.She suffers from severe depression and I cant be bothered with the agro, ALan says just to ignore it as we both know what really happened with their friendship.

my eveing rsvp date is tomorrow and im still waiting on loads of people but its the evening so dont think people fell the need to rsvp im not keeping them space on the bus and the buffet wont go to waste.
