I feel like I've stopped planning the wedding now, I feel like I've still got loads to do. It because we are selling the house (ohs stupid idea) I'm concentrating on the house rather than the wedding. H2b is currently in Canada and not back for another three weeks got my hen weekend in two weeks crikey that's came round fast then my first dress fitting which I'm really not looking forward to for some reason.

I am absolutely dreading my 1st dress fitting, when I ordered it I'd successfully lost 2 stone & only had to lose 1" from my hips for the dress to fit perfectly. I then hit a 2 month plateau where I lost nothing, so thought what's the point & the diet went out the window!! I haven't gained much weight back but have gained 2" around my hips (typical) so now have 3" to lose before my dress comes in early July :(
I've started a shake diet as desperate times call for desperate measures, been going indoor rock climbing with H2B at least twice a week & have lost 6lb in 2 weeks. I'm going to start the 30 day shred too, a new gym has opened near me also & it's only £10 per month so will probably join.

Catherine glad things are looking up for you, you have both been through so much. Its not easy at all but if he didn't go he wouldn't have a job, our son is missing him like crazy too.

Mrsrobson I have my dress fitting in two weeks and ive not lost any weight, was hoping to lose 2 stone before the wedding had I'm lucky if ive stayed the same.

Sprucey that's a completely different scenario, its a pity its so close to the wedding, hope the daughter gets well soon. The people that are there will make your day special try not to worry about it looking 'empty' hugs xx

I'm at home this morning waiting for the courier to arrive with my wedding dress.

I'm supposed to be working from home not reading UK Bride - but I'm so nervous/excited that I can't sit still or concentrate!

Whoo hoo! my bouquet arrived today from the US... :D pardon my "weekend" attire. Bouquet is 9" and bigger than I imagined it would be so I am so glad I didn't go for the 10" like I was originally planning!



On other notes got final meeting with the venue booked on 12th July, first dress fitting with seamstress on the 17th of this month and currently in the process of sorting out my Character table images for the table centrepieces. :D

My venue are bugging us to go see them a final time, I just cant h2b working and I don't have the car, ive communicated everything through email and I am satisfied so not sure what else we need to go through??. I have to make my final payment by 14th june :D

can I ask are you all over catering or under catering compared to your numbers? (e.g 70 guests = 80 for buffet or 70 guests= 60 for buffet)

I've done erm... Nothing lol I've got a guest book finger print tree thing though, that's pretty. Just don't know what boys to do next really, I'm feeling lost. As well as prob not having a bridesmaid the best man is causing the OH some issues always chasing him for stuff still hasn't booked his hotel for staying up there for the wedding. So feel like everything's ready and in place but there will be no one there! :/
Picked up my daughters flower girl dress after alterations this morning looks great but she threw a paddy not wanting to try it on at the seamstresses! Hopefully not a sign for the day! Lol but managed to get a pic of her with it on properly later

I'm exactly the same just keep buying random stuff off of eBay again decorations, like I just got table crystals and a love sign arrive in the post this morning! No idea what I'm doing with them! Lol I feel like I need to put stuff on the cake table but don't know what plus what to put props on a table like a photo booth but don't really know how to do it! I'm not very imaginative!

Ive just realised I have 6 people still not rsvp's for the evening and the venue wants numbers...would you cater for them or not??

Oh yeah and OH is on his stag this weekend. Just him and the best man going to see Top Gear (or as its now called Clarkson, Hammond and May) Live in Sheffield. Whilst me I will be at home with my dog and another dog we are puppy-sitting for a friend. :)

I wish our venue didn't need final numbers so soon, but least its all done now.


I have suddenly come over feeling bad as I would like to do a little something with my mum before the wedding but she doesn't live close and I have a lot on over the next 2 months :(

ladies i have joked about this happening and now its her to kick my ****....... my h2b has a daughter who is 19 shes very immature and he has never met her, this year she has been in touch and they are on talking terms how ever he is very busy and does not have time for us let alone meeting a new daughter, he has explained this and while she has always seemed understanding she publicly slags him on faceb and just keeps pushing to meet.... i am also in contact with her and speak to her often probably cus my h2b doesn't have time and this morning i got a message form her saying 'stupid question but can i come to your wedding i would love to meet you all'................ :0 we have 2 children together who know nothing about her as my h2b hasn't even met her!

It would be very awkward for all involved if the first meeting was at the wedding and you don't know what her personality is like. Considering she has been publically slagging him off on a public forum I would be concerned about how she would react if she came to your wedding and didn't think it was the reuinion she wanted. The wedding is a day where all attention is focused on you two and she may feel the "first meeting" should be priority.

I agree with the above that meeting before the wedding is a definate must to get a feel for what she is like with your H2B and then yourself. Then decide. Do not feel like you should say yes just because she is your H2Bs daughter.

Then do that, she's going to be in your lives from now on so have your day especially as you won't even meet her before the wedding so effectively you would be inviting a stranger who you and no one else knows!!

OH is on his stag do this weekend, quite early because this was the only weekend everyone was free. Unfortunately today is also his mums birthday so he is missing that too! I spent the day yesterday with one of my bridesmaids and her little girl as her hubby is BM so on stag do with the boys. It was good to have a girly catch up.

I got the invitations out last weekend and the RSVPs have started to come in. They all need to be in by the end of the month so plenty of time.
I have also booked hair and make up trials and booked my seamstress in the last few days. I feel like things are slowing down a little now as all the major stuff is done or booked but I feel like I have probably forgotten something.
I guess all the bill will have to start being paid soon, better check up on due dates!

I'm the same Victoria, wanted to loose a little where it was a tiny bit tighter in places and have less round face etc but I just have no motivation to do so, I'm tired most the time am working more so just don't have the energy left afterwards to do extra and be super good with food! I'm trying to be better this week and hope it continues!! But I'm the type of person that if I don't see immediate results I get cross and give up!

I've been really lucky with that I've lost around a stone and half but non from my bust x

Check this out! OH sorted out my top table dilemma by finding this lovely pair of rabbits ornament at N3xt Home and saw the Mouse as well thinking it would fit in perfectly on the cake/sweetie table!
