I'll sit back n wait my 2 weeks but just makes me feel like if they haven't replied by now they prob not coming and thats half our evening guests :(
On the plus side I only have the dj and our hotel room to pay for.

I had my hair and make u trial today. Pics in album. Only thing I'm going to have different Is slightly more hair down at front and false lashes. Let me know honest opinions please x

B*bbi Br*wn bridal make-up lesson coming up at the weekend - I'm very excited about that. I think doing my own make-up on the day will give me a calm little moment all to myself :D

In less calming news, just got notified that my wedding dress is running 6 weeks behind schedule (the silkmakers discontinued the fabric I wanted and the dressmaker had to negotiate a special run of 50m more, for mine and one other dress). That means I won't get it until late June - hope 1 month is sufficient time to arrange alterations. Anyone got an idea of how long they typically take?

Your plan to have your's altered locally seems sensible, Kim. I think I'll have to do the same and find a local seamstress here in East London - my dressmaker is in Brighton and doesn't do alterations.

I guess should start looking for someone, let them know when the dress will be arriving and the wedding date and see if there's anyone who can work to that schedule.

Mine is all done and altered as I took it to a local bridal shop, as I hadn't bought the dress from them they did my alterations during their quiet period. Thankfully it was just the hem , bustle and straps that needed altering so didn't matter when it was done. It only took a week to do.

Received a parcel yesterday it had our dressing gowns and slippers in it, the bags arent fantastic but they are good. got me my mum and sister the gowns and slippers for the morning of the wedding when we are getting dressed and for some pictures :)

I had my first dress fitting yesterday, next one is may 21st. It went really well and i won't need a bra which is a bonus as the back of my dress is low. Heidi at the boutique who is doing it is lovely too which is a bonus. X

I know, I'm in double digits now!!!

Hi ladies need some advice as I feel like a bridezilla


we are just having a small wedding then wedding breakfast with family and 4 close friends. one of the close friends has just asked me if they can bring their new girlfriend who hes only been with 2 weeks and ive never met her and prob wont before the wedding.... what do you advise I do??

If you have time ie we have to let venue know exact numbers 30 days before I would just be honest say its clear their relationship is at a very early stage and you will consider it and let them know closer to the time. I know they will prob want to know but I wouldn't want to say yes straight away give there relationship a bit of time, you also won't know their personality and if they will fit in so it's difficult x

Ahh I can see why they would want to know. I had a similar thing with one guest but I agreed they can bring their partner as they would have been my only guest without a plus one. X

Grrrrrr I'm starting to get really p'ed off with the OH!! He has no input in the wedding not because he doesn't care but because he's not really got much of an opinion on stuff and is very relaxed about it all, likes ticking things done off the list but that's about it. Now we are trying to decide on songs and he's being really bloody difficult! He's supposed to be sorting certain things out that I've left him to do which he hasn't and he's supposed to be giving his best man a kick up the backside as they've not booked their hotel or anything yet and if he's not up there the day before it's really gonna be stressful and rooms are almost booked up!
With the music he's like I'm not much of a dancer do we have to have a first dance, I'm like well we only need to dance for like 30 seconds then get everyone to join us, but people are only going to join us if the songs not dead dead slow and it's a song people know! So when I've been playing or suggesting songs he's all. Why are you just picking generic slightly upbeat love songs?!!! You come up with some bloody ideas then!!! Ahhh men!

I had a text from a friend this morning to say she hasn't RSVP'd yet because she never goes near a post box?! Even though there is one at her work she doesn't go to that side of the building?! What rubbish.

I'm in to double figures now 99 days to go and its still not sunken in yet.... Mrsk2be hopefully you can laugh about it and realise that that's not going to happen to you on your wedding day... We are all going to have a lovely day

I had my pre wedding pics on Tuesday and the weather was awful we got soaked h2b didn't seem happy but I said imagine if this was our wedding day we need to just enjoy it as the weather is so unpredictable. The photographer seemed shocked at how calm I was and also offered us a family photo shoot :) I'm still waiting for the pics but will post some up when I've seen them

We only booked our venue last month so I was stressing about how much we had to organise, but yesterday I ordered my dress and booked the photographer and today we have posted the invites!
Still got quite a lot to do but I'm feeling a lot more relaxed now!

Yey i think the dress arriving feels like a milestone. I had my first fitting a couple of weeks ago and have my next one on the 21st. I can't believe that in 12 weeks time I will be about to walk down the isle x

I fell out with oh earlier, he's just back his stag weekend in Amsterdam, he doesn't have any pictures but the bestman has said I'm not allowed to see any of them from the other guys, oh's aunt txt me to say she has seen the pictures and they are fab and has sent them to ohs sister and cousins. I totally over reacted and started shouting at my oh it looks like he had something to hide. He's so hungover and I'm totally stressed and I feel like a bit of an idiot because I know he'd never cheat on my.

Had a phone call yesterday to say that my dress has arrived at the shop, yey! But now they've told me that their seamstress is totally booked up so I'm going to have to go somewhere else for alterations, have to say I'm quite annoyed as they never mentioned this before I ordered my dress.

Yeah, I'm not too happy about it. I'm going to go in tomorrow and have a chat to them about it and see what they say x

today is our rsvp deadline for daytime guests got a few to chase, why cant people just say yes or no within the date specified argh. I know feel like a nutcase texting people etc to find out if they are going or not.

Can't remember have you had a make up or hair total yet? Maybe it's cos you're trying it on when you're not all done up? Is it on a comb or a little hat thing? Maybe Google some images of birdcage veils and see if you've got your placement right?
