Wedding Forum - August 2014...

Well I'm not August, I'm July 6th but that's close enough ;) lol. I haven't really done much, just wanted the big stuff out the way first. So far we've got:

Cake
Photographer
Registrar
DJ
String Quartet

Going to the craft shop soon for ideas to make our own invites xx

I am getting married 16th August. All i have sorted out is the Church and my Wedding Dress. As i have been working all hours and havent had time lol.

I'm getting married on 16th August 2014

So far booked: church, venue, photographer
Bought: dress, shoes, veil, jewellery, bridesmaid dresses, favour jars, gifts for mothers
Making: invites, cake, wish tree tags, printing napkins, bridesmaid jewellery

Need to look at flowers next - not sure whether to let MIL2B do them or pay for someone to do them??

i'm not really just went mad when I first got engaged lol

im getting married 1st august 2014 and so far i have booked registary office booked the venue... weve bought h2bs cravat and the wedding car ribbon, in process of sorting invites and wedding favours xx

Paid on my Dress

16th August 2014 for me...noticed there are a few of us with that date
Already booked are

church
venue (booked last year so we getting last years prices)
photographer
DJ (friend doing for free)
caterers
cake (friend of my parents doing it and only charging for ingredients)
mens suits (deposit left and they go and choose in march 2014)

ive got a week off work in feb so gonna go with matron of honour and make a serious start on looking at dresses

hopefully gonna manage to fit in a holiday to turkey this year so will get rings made while out there

I became on when we got engaged. Went a bit mad & booked up all the big things in the first month! H2B had to tell me to calm down lol xx

Haha, that's good then! I keep putting things infront of him lately, like ring websites & honeymoon destinations & he's getting a little more involved now too, he'll be sick of it again in a week or so!

We were actually thinking of Lapland or somewhere like that. We both prefer the cold & we went to Gran Canaria last year, we're going to Paris this april so thought we'd go for something colder. It's not 100% yet, we might see somewhere we like more! What about you?

Siany I meant to be letting H2B plan the honeymoon but I think we are going to tour Italy because we can't decide where we want to go most and he really wants to go to Pompei.

I want to taste Mrs Richardson's cake... hungry

I'm really thinking of not having fruit cake after hearing all the different flavours out there...can't decide.

I will have to tell H2B brochures come out soon :)

Kelly, I' told H2B last night that as I chose the venue (& put the deposit down before he'd even viewed it!) that it's only fair if he picks the honeymoon, so he's happy with that :) although there was some talk of going up mountains, so now I'm not so sure!! Lol.

We're not having fruit cake either, I hate it! Lol

lol a trek up a mountain would make a great honeymoon - at least you'd be alone he he

thats what I hoping for, h2b wont sunbathe tho he needs to be active

The future Mrs K - eeek, you've done more than me & our date is 5 days before yours, raaaaa, I need to pull my finger out lol. Your wedding date is the day after my birthday :)

Charmainey - Don't panic, there's still plenty of time, set a date first then work out your budget & start from there :) xx

I ahve finally sorted out the Vicar for the wedding.

It was alright, she was a bit skeptical about marrying us as i have been married before, but she understands that this is the only time that i am going to be getting married again. So she agreed to the wedding.

I think i would have cried if they wouldnt let me have the wedding.

But i can be a control freak at times lol. my h2b seems so calm about it all and i just want to get it all sorted we have decided one thing though and that's the colour scheme but still not set a date. going dress shopping well looking and seeing what type i like more and hoping that will help things get a wiggle on so we can make a date and then who will be coming and stuff. xx

We're getting married on the 2nd August and all we've sorted is the church and reception will hopefully get photographer and flowers sorted soon as I think they get booked up quite quickly. I keep thinking its ages away and have loads of time but in sure time will disappear! X
