our venue meeting is the 27th feb cannot waiting choose all the food then and a few other bits to go through the in laws are paying off £1000 too which is a big weight lifted
Am trying to sort my bridesmaids dresses at the moment anyway had/having stress with their dresses??
my venue dont seem to be interested in a meeting yet? should i be pestering for one already? My dad decided that he would buy me my wedding dress yesterday so that was a huge weight lifted after being on such a low budget! i am having a massive stress with my bridesmaid dresses sian! i want some nice summery maxi dresses for them (as im hoping it may be warmish lol) but i have 3 bridesmaids who are 3 different sizes! my sister is a small 8, my MOH is small but a bigger size of 14 and a size 14 nearly 6ft tall 16 year old niece so they all look so different in everything! good look finding yours! xxx

You should call your venue & ask them about meeting them. My mummy bought me my dress & accessories as a surprise :-D
I got my bm dresses from a shop in Glasgow, specialise in mother of the bride. They are nice grecian style maxi dress. x

my dad bought my dress - bless him and since i won a competition and had a money voucher for the wedding shop, had £300 knocked off the price. he also said yesterday he's going to pay for the entire reception so that was a huuuuuuge weight lifted off our shoulders, feel guilty he's spending out but he's insisting so will have to get him a really good thank you present. xx

as my mum always says 'never look a gift horse in the mouth' lol! if people are willing to help its great :-) i felt really bad letting my dad pay but it has made such a huge difference to what i can spend on the rest i just couldnt say no! think i may have to get in touch with venue to see whats going on x nicole have they got a website? xx

We have had our 6 month to go meeting with the venue, the wedding co-ordinator was much more accomodating this time round (she was a bit of a moo before) ...anyhow - we have paid off 50% of the estimated total, given her all the details of our suppliers and finalised timings for things, so all good...i even ran off with a few napkins to try different ideas with.
We are back there again next Sat night - complimentary menu tasting (just to check) lol xx
I love the venue even more now and we went back during the evening and everything looked really stunning all lit up :) x

i guess venues are al different.....we need to go in 4 weeks berfore the date to completely confirm - give any vegetarian and allergy information request highchairs, and pay the remaining balance. then after that we cant change anything xx

I know alot of different brides 2b are saying different time scales to send out invites. I sent mine out 3 weeks ago because ive got family in other countries and most of my family tend to go abroad at the same time as weve booked our wedding. I cant lie though, getting the reply in the post made me all giggly lol

yey picked up my necklace. It was able to be altered but a tad too big still but I think good overall. Will post piccies later x Such a relief after all the trouble.

Katie i'm doing the same as you! suddenly realised that its not far away and googling everything i can think of lol! the only things ive organised are venue,registrar,wedding dress,dj, got my wedding favours n bags yesterday and hopefully bridesmaids dresses should be here by beginning of march :-) xx

so rougly £2445 to pay left! and technically the honeymoon could be paid after weddin but want it done before!

Were not doing our honeymoon til October. Having a pre wedding holiday in June to Cornwall. More of a recharge my batteries before the big day. Ive still gotta get FOB (2) presents but i know im getting my dad a silver pocket watch engraved. Dunno what to get my step dad. Got my mum a watch set and my MIL a chelsea stadium tour. my BMs have got to keep there jewellery dresses and also have got them pandora bracelets. Weve got £380 left to on registry office - that includes notice of marriage for the both or us & certificate charge. I still gotta get suits for 2 best men groom usher and Callum (page boy) and finish paying off little bits like. Flowers £120 Dj £120 balloons £50 Mr & Mrs sign £15 guestbook £10 my hair on the day £25

We've got all of our oney in our accounts ready to cover everything so might start getting things paid off soon - all the scrimping and saving will mean we dont have to worry after wedding to pay for anything which is a nice feeling :)
We are going on honeymoon on the monday 13th as the day after wedding is my sisters 21st so will be here for that, then leave following morning to head up to heathrow :) xx
