katiep its never too soon. I have almost everything sorted so then I know exactly where I am with finances... still have little things to do e.g. only picked cake maker not deco but at least we have a more realistic idea of what things cost instead of guessing them. therefore, if you want something go for it :)

I've just got left to book the cake and then I really don't know what I'm going to do with myself until next year. It seems like all go at the beginning and then onces the major things are booked its a case of waiting and saving until about februrary next year when we can go bridesmaid dress shopping and start planning hair and make up and stuff. Anyone else feel like the wait until then is going to drag? x

yes i think the wait is going to drag. Therefore, i have now divided up everything left no matter how small and am going to do one thing each school holiday so this may half term, I am going to keep looking for my tiara and start getting ideas and making trial runs of invites. For the summer holiday I am going to have decided on invites and start making them and start looking for honeymoons. By october half term we are going to book our honeymoon.By xmas we are going to buy the suits and have brought the wedding bands. By feb half term i am going to make sure hen do is all organised even though I cant do much with that as sis planning it. Easter and onwards we will be going over everything again to do all the finer nitty gritty things e.g. music for band, decoration on cake as we have only booked the ppl and not the actual details. Maybe doing something similar will help you spread out the things you have left.

Kaya - I'm having a church, orginally booked the civil and then changed my mind lol

Becky - I'm going to keep looking and stuff but can't order until next year as we have 2 or 3 young ones and only 1 adult, I already have an idea for style though as I already got my adult BM to try something on but i really would like to not have to wait for the young ones

Suzuky - That is a really good idea and then I won't be left with nothing to do :)

thats what I thought. it spreads it out then as I only have invites, hen do, mens suits, ring and honeymoon left :( plus the stuff that cant be sorted until last min like songs, cake decor, food etc. I even have my bridal underwear and shoes haha so dont even have them. I do need BM tiaras but will wait for them until i get mine though I have spotted the one I potentially want but will have a shop during my 'designated time' hehe. I was just really scared of losing momentum and being on a low during the lead up with nothing to do and so not enjoyuing the run up 100%

well if i dont have deignanted times I would have planned everything. Up until the last couple of months it was all i could think about so thought I had to get a grip on reality hehe and spread things out before I turned into a bridezilla with nothing to do until the big day except winge lol.

im hoping xmas will mean it comes round quick. 24+ months has gone quick. Its amazing but makes me slightly scared the day is going to go by so fast and before I know it it will all be over but at least then theres a honeymoon that lasts 14 times longer hehe

Another 25th August Jodie to join the 3 of us. Actually when I went and booked my reception and my videographer and photographer they surprisingly had it free... they said usually the bank holiday weekend dates are the first to go.

i have my dress. H2b joked saying he needed two years just for me to find my dress as everytime i looked in windoes I said 'dont like it'. He proposed 30th May. I brought it on 7th August before we had even decided on the venue. Then everything snowballed after that and almost everything is booked/sorted leaving only the finer details now. Still seems like ages away. How are you girls coping because I am so excited but so disappointed too that it is so far away.
