No not all of it parents are paying some of of that so not too bad but we still have a lot to find and a lot to pay ourselves but h2b lost his job b4 xmas his on a driving course this week so hoping he'll pass and get a job asap just managed to sort his temp wedding ring only £17 so little bargain for the day lol x
It's an awesome feeing once it all starts getting apid off - the etxra money a month will be lush!! We're in the process of buying our first house (although shoul of been in by now - grr!) so all the extra can go towards extra nice things for our home... Hoping the builders hurry up and build so we're in before the wedding. Am chuffed to bits with how well we've saved for everything but blimey it sure is scary how much weddings cost - we orignially hoped to spend 7k inc honeymoon - now looking like double that with honeymoon if not more, but since we've saved up for it all and got our house deposit and all that side of things saved up as well I'm not too fussed as its pretty much the biggest day of your life :)
Ahh - Sian - feel for you, H2B had redundancy letters first week of jan and its such a horrible feeling - I thought that was it for the wedding and house as still had a fair bit to pay off but luckily he was ok. Hope he finds something asap!! xx

Thanks hun there are a lot of driving jobs about just needs to pass tomorrow lol we're lucky both parents are giving 1000 each for venue paying for their own familys suits and my mum is paying for my dress so its not awful any spare cash I have I buy bits if I can or pay a little bit off things if it was a few weeks before I would panic but have a month or 2 to get sorted x
I still owe alot on bits and bobs too but h2b has just started his new job so will hopefully get things paid off soon :-) is it tradition to buy parents presents too? id not heard of that til now xx

we have just looked at ours and got really excited thinking we didnt have much to pay but I read the monies paid not monies owed. Luckily hubby 2 b knew I made a mistake but I had gotten myself all excited. We have the money in the accounts anyways but I thought we had done even better, never mind eh!

I'm picking up my wedding ring on saturday, i've had it made to fit round my engagement ring. Cant wait to see it and get my engagement ring back, i've felt lost with out it! The invites are on order too and should be arriving by the end of the month ;) Only 6 months to go, it's all starting to feel real now!!xx

I know I am hating mine. I wish the fella we brought it off did the job properly the first time, then we wouldnt have considered changing it. I dont know how im gonna cope for 3 weeks whilst they take out the main part of the design and change the setting. I want my ring back already. I keep playing with it but its not there if that makes sense. Going to have to go upstairs and see if I can find any ring that can be temporary but then I dont want to put a cheapo one on there and think its best to leave it just for that ring? Oh i dont know. Well done on getting your invites sorted. It is scary how time flies. It will feel even more real when the ticker drops down another month.

Joined a weight loss group WW today 2lb a week to get to my goal by wedding day eeeek
another 200 quid paid off wedding rings today whoop whoop, hair trials booked in, and make up trial is tomo. Is it weird to have two different people for hair and make up? I just dont trust anyone else with my hair you see but I admit I am nervous now at the cost as I know that will work out more expensive, especially as the hairdresser is staying all day from 5.30 in the morning eeeeeeek! I can see us having to drag my little sister out of bed kicking and screaming (she is 22/23 but god help anyone who gets in the way of her lie in)

Sian, we did the same for my OH ring. His was £12 from £30 i got him a Tungsten one because he needs a hard wearing one for work, then when weve got a bit more cash i'll get him a white gold one like mine. His was from catalogue. L.woods. Hi Suzky - im having 2 different people doing my hair & make up. im having an hair dresser do my hair at her salon (its top of my rd) and my sister will be doing my make up.

for those who want to do something similar, I was looking in the window today in W.J and found loads starting as little as £19 and most at about 30 quid. Might be an option for those in a similar boat and they look just like the white gold/platninum versions so noone will be any the wiser

there are 5 of us in total for hair and make up and the wedding is at 12. I really hope he (or even make up artist) let me go down for breccy! I am looking forward to a full english given I wont be eating until 3 pm after that

ive checked around with a few brides/hairdressers and apparently thats bang on the money. I was surprised too. I mentioned it to the hairdresser and he said he wanted us to have a relaxing morning and not rush things through, Make up artist said similar when I asked her what time she would have us up if I was getting her to do both hair and make up and she agreed with 5.30-6am too. Our photographer is coming at 11 so apparently most if it needs sorting by then a you want getting ready shots but not of you looking tired etc with no make up and bed hair haha! Plus it takes a good 15-20 mins to get in my dress haha! Im sure it will be fine. Not worried

suky ive got 2 different people doing my hair and make up too! I bought my lil boys outfits yesterday! omg how cute! no-one is even going to notice me with my lil lads looking so gorgeous :-) will try and add a pic later! Ordered my flowergirl dresses, just a bit worried that 2 of them might not turn up :-/ but fingers crossed! Our wedding favours were delivered yesterday so will be bagging those up tonight :-) its so exciting now everything is coming together xxx

ive just done a thread there on it with piccies on but the piccies a bit dark. Airbrushed foundation and blusher, cheryl cole style eyes but with SMALL falsies as I have a pretty good set of eye lashes naturally so she just added some shorts in.

not to early at all - ive just been and delivered my local ones by hand for the evening - was getting fed up with ppl saying how they cant wait to see my cake etc...(it will be all cut up by the time they arrive lol) so i thought i'd just stop all that - least they all know they are evening guests now...i feel better about that!
Had a busy few days actually....finished making all the invites, inserts and info bits for the insides....done what i needed to do with most of those...finished all my favour boxes.....made contact with my DJ found about a few things from him, same with florist...now just need to wait to find out if i get get my dog in kennels...they get booked realy quickly..should have done that sooner but i forgot about her ...oops :( xx

yes we have kept a few back for that very reason - i have only sent the eve invites to the ones i know i want defo there just in evening. Not too worried that people will decline our invites...pretty much everyone said they will be there when we sent the save the date cards out, even have their bedrooms booked aswell :)
It was really hard to decide the guest list - thats defo the hardest bit! xxx

Ooh snap wedding fair at my venue too lol had a wedding ring appointment today for the real rings we want and was shocked to find the ring I love is actually only £670 which isnt too awful however the one h2b wants is £1600 so looks like we will be waiting til after the wedding afterall lol
we've started handing out definate evening invites aswell so people know when they are coming and no more awkward questions about if they are coming to the actual wedding or etc etc - least they know whether they are coming to day or eve. We've got a reserve list aswell so if we do get any declined back it wont be too late/obvious when handing the next lot out if needed.
we also had our first draft invoice from the reception yesterday - spot on price if it works out all the same numbers once everyone's RSVP'd so that was ideal - was dreading it in case it worked out loads more so thats a relief and makes it feel more real now.
