not long now for us august brides , my planning is slowly coming together , and i have managed to cut nearly £10,000 from my budget , im soooo pleased ,

my cousin is doing my photography now saving me £725 (he has been doing it as a secret hobby for over 2 years ! )
h2bs aunt is making a 5 tier cake as a gift ( saving roughly £650 )
my friend made our invites, rsvps, money poems, thankyou's, personalised serviettes, and cake boxes, ( saving around £655 )
she has also made my moh dress (pic in my pics ) for £45, better than the £215 that i was quoted in a wedding dress shop
got my wooden wishing well for a whole £5.00 :)
my friends mum owns a florist so is doing my bouquet, 3 poseys, 2 balls, 200 button holes, balloon arch, and hall dec for £400 ....
got a £200 saving on my cars
not having doves or pick and pick stand now (mil idea to have them ) saving £425

call me bargain hunt bride hahahahah x
and lots more savings

still got £7000 to find hahaha but £17,000 down to £7.000 , im really pleased , and still working on more lol

quick question thought , im not having a sit down meal , as we are gettin married at 3pm, but doing a buffet, and its pay per head , how many people would you count for ? say there was 150 invites put out which would make 300 people would you tell them 300 head or take a % off ?
i know not to count kids under 12 , but is that all do you think ?

its very confusing isnt it , as i dont want to have to much food go to waste , but on the other hand i dont want people to go hungry , ... plus im waiting for my rsvps to come back ( sent invites out early as h2bs step dad , who he classes as his real dad booked a holiday to return the day after we get married, which he has now changed ! ) and some people dont even return them do they , just turn up :/

Went to a wedding dress shop yesterday to look at replacement dresses for my bridesmaids the ones I liked £159!! my bridesmaids are buying their own and have a £100 budget per dress so looks like they're out of the question where can I find navy chiffon maxi dresses??

They won't be able to afford it one of them is due to give birth in 4 days to 2nd baby so I feel bad enough asking for them to pay for their dresses let alone spending that much especially when the dressmaker who cancelled was only charging £65 per dress

got my first rsvp back today - so royal mail are doing well so far :-)

Got all the big things sorted just needs paying for lol and started buying things like gifts etc got some hip flasks to engrave for £2 each lol x

My mum just offered to pay for our cake :D xx

we are the 31st and we have to sort the boys suits, pay the band and pay the photographer.. :) Then we just have to make it on the day.. :)

Me and h2b have just got back from giving notification of marriage..... it really wasnt as bad as what i thought. Although my mind went totally blank when she asked when h2bs date of birth was! haha! felt like a right idiot. But yipppe another thing done and ticked off the list :) xxx

I've got soo much left to do. Haven't even decided on time we are getting married let alone sent out the invites- i need to make them still too! I'm being measured for my dress on tuesday got my shoes but no ideas on veil or tiara yet. Haven't been to give notice yet. Still need to organise flowers, transport, cake, entertainment, grooms and mens outfits, have to have marriage preparation classes cos we are getting married in catholic church. We have booked our venue and the church is booked - but need to double check. Still need to get flowergirls dress and jewellery. Need to organise hairdresser. still unsure on whether my photographer will be able to do it
and may have to find another one. x

I'm feeling really stressed too and actually got a really bad case of the nerves coming on so worried about things going wrong x

@suzky123 - i too will be having the confetti cones - and real rose petals - i am making my own and freeze drying them. just take them out of the freezer the morning of your wedding and they will be fresh as, for when you need them! my bottom section of the freezer is full to the brim of frozen rose petals in take away box containers! lol....i allowed them to thaw, to see if it would work and its better then actually having them dried IMO xxxx

ah ok thats one option. I didnt think it was as simple as place them in the freezer? I got told they would go soggy?

Why am i crying at everything?????? i got my flowers back from the maker today and i cried i cry at everything to do with the wedding but im happy with everything i love my flowers there beautiful and im having a buffet 2
