originally 8, then 12 haha. Its not anymore. We will be able to do it in under 30 including rings and honeymoon we think. We decided in the end to just go with it and have within reason what we wanted. We are not going too ott tho. We have the fireworks etc so we decided not to get cars, or have certain other things. We just sat down, and decided what was important and what wasnt and agreed to just get what was important to us. At the end of the day, we dont drink much, dont smoke, both work hard so we thought why not provided we can save for it without feeling as though we are on tight pursestrings. It was the deal to make me save as I was literally wasting all my wages and having nothing to show for it. So now I have proved I can save, I have to do the same for a bigger house as we only live in a small 3 bed at the mo and since I teach and have stuff everywhere, it is a tad small.

yeah when I think back I think we are wasting a fair bit and could have done it cheaper but as hubby to be said, we will only be doing this once and so go for it provided, as he said, we can save without it affecting our quality of life. If I started again though, I would try and do it cheaper by going abroad just with select people.

Going to try on my dress on monday mum is paying the rest of the deposit so I will be all measured and the order will be sent yay x

I cant believe my thing says im gettin married in 6 months..... im off to the venue today to meet with the florist to talk ideas and colours.... am sooooo excited!

ooo lovelly. Avalanche roses are huge so you can use less :) That is how we are cheating. I am having lisis too, cant remember if im having hydrangeas.... I just know they look pretty haha! I dont do flowers. I only know what looks nice and what doesnt. Daves mum can just look at them and name them and she ran a nursery not a florist.

Think we finally have our invites sorted. Went to a bespoke vintage stand at the wedding fayre and the invites were amazing, far superior to what we have seen. However, thought we couldnt afford them but asked anyways and they were so good in terms of price compared to again what we have seen. However, we are also confident we can make them to just as high a standard if we can find the boxes and diamante embelishments, decent good quality card and ribbon. Basically, imagine a square pearlesent ivory card as the backing with pearlecent ivory paper with old style italic print, and underneath satin but not all the way on the bottom like most. Imagine you have put a layer down and then folded it to give another layer so you have three layers, and then there is a large diamante crystal embelishment. They look very classy and very vintage and scream quality. So we will try ourselves and if we fail, she is just about affordable. Fingers crossed. They also come in a box with the tissue paper and a sticker seal with our initials intertwined :)

OMFG Total meltdown situation with bm dresses which I thought were all sorted just needed to pay deposit the dress maker has given away my slot so basically might not have any dresses!

she knew I was going to pay it then had some money swallowed up by charges and was going to go tomorrow to do it then get a message saying I havent heard from you so gave your slot away she should have just sent a message saying can you pay the deposit please or what day will it be in or do you still want the dresses even

Being squeezed in id be worried if they turned out wrong or to big or to small as shes in a rush to get them all done! I would go somewhere else if i was you x

its part of our package they put in something about the hotel rooms for the guest and then thewy pay for the postage !! ace i know!
