    Hi,
I’m hoping someone can help here- we get married in 4 weeks and have had a couple of guests who RSVP’d yes now have said they can’t come. We would like to fill the spaces- but unsure of etiquette! My first thought was to ask anyone who had a partner who wasn’t invited if they would like to come (politely say that we have had some things change and that we would like it if their partner could join , but we don’t have any guests in this situation now. My other thought was to ask an evening guest if they would like to come to the full thing- but I’m not sure if this is rude? What do you think of this and do you have any suggestions of how to ask?
    Thank you :)

We have a few people on the evening list who can be moved to all day if necessary, i dont think it would be rude to ask them i'm sure they will be delighted to go to the whole day.
Just say you have had a call off and they were the first people you wanted to ask no need to make up a long story.

I had this 3 days before hand, I went to two sets of evening guests and explained this meant that I could have what i originally wanted but couldn't because of constraints on numbers , they were over the moon to be asked to be there for the full day
