So I'm just writing out the seating plans for the venue so they know where to put everyone and I don't know what order to put people in on the top table. As you look at the top table should the bride and brides family be on the left or right or does it not matter? I know we can have what we want but is there a tradition?

I've done my seating plan and i've put the brides family to the right as you look at the table and grooms to the left but I don't think it really matters hun xx

Ours isn't traditional lol - we're having from left to right; Wife of FOG - FOG - MOG - Groom - Our daughter - Bride - MOB - FOB - Girlfriend of FOB (our daughter will be in a highchair between us)

We are having some of the traditional way, but are also having H2B brother and his BM's wife on their too

We had round tables: bride, groom, best man & wife, MOH & husband, bridesmiad & husband and then a whole other table for all the parents xx

madam butterfly, I think traditionally it is both sets of parents, BM and MOH, with the parents split up so that MOB is next to FOG and MOG is next to FOB....

we couldnt do traditional my cos my mum and the best man dont exactly see eye to eye.
WE are having MOB,2 bridesmaids, bride,groom,Bestman, MOG, FOG
I have both my dad and step dad there and wasnt going to choose between them

We mixed it up to show how we are now one big family! But eeryone gets on well so it was ok. Do it how you feel suits your family best.

im not having all my wedding party on top as ive got 6 bridesmaids 1 flower girl 1 page boy 2 ushers 1 Best man
then my mum and step dad have now split so she has another partner so mine would be huge haha!!
