Im leaning more towards getting artificial bouquets as these seem to be cheaper and of course can be kept, my friend had fresh flowers and although they look amazing the wrist corsages didnt last long before they were flopping around and dying..and the same goes for the button holes etc.

What would you say is the average price for Fresh flower Bridal Bouquet, 4 BM bouquets, 4 flower girl wands, buttonholes etc cost?

and the same for artificial bouquets etc?

Ive seen some artificial flower packages on the Bay of E for £165, with that you get 1 bridal bouquet, 3 bm bouquets, 1 flower girl wand, 1 grooms button hole, 6 button holes and 3 wrist corsages...would you say this was a good price for everything..

Im rubbish with the flower pricing etc

you need to shop around with florists as they all charge differently - mine does a bridal teardrop from 75, BMs 35 each, button holes 1.50 each - you also need to think about which flowers you want, say if theyr'e out of season you may want silk instead as it's cheaper than getting your flowers etc - I rang round 3-4 to get a feel for them, then went to visit one and was happy with the pricing so went for my fresh ones!

silk can be more expensive than fresh flowers as soooo much time goes into making them getting all mine fresh for £200 would have been £230 for silk flowers :D

I haven't looked at artificial flowers at all as I would like fresh, but I found some really good ones, price depends really on where you go and what you want. I saw bouquets for bridesmaids from £20 and brides from about £45.

i'm having fresh flowers from my local florist who seem to be incredibly reasonably priced compared to everyone else!!
    I'm getting:
    Brides bouquet - £33
    4x bridesmaids bouquet - £100
    flower girl 'wand' - £8
    5x mens buttonholes - £25
    4x ladies buttonholes - £20
Hire of 4 very large mirror plates - £12
The whole lot is costing me £198, which is really good value for fresh flowers.
If you want fresh, it really is possible to get them for a decent price - I did have to go to about 6 florists before I got a price I was happy with though so you need to shop around xxx

yes, but what's your point? They're far cheaper than any other florist I went to, and I'm happy paying £5 each as I know they're going to look fabulous. My other flowers are very resonably priced so even if they are slightly more expensive what does it matter? It evens itself out!

Lol, your florist won't be paying more than 40 pence per gerbera but fair enough if your happy with that price.

why do you have a problem with what I've chosen to pay for my flowers? I think you'll find that all the other ladies have said they're paying around the same price for theirs, so what's the issue with mine?

£5 for a ladies lapel corsage is very cheap in my opinion, I had silk and they are £8.50 each and personally I don't think it should matter what someone else is paying for their own flowers, as long as they are happy with what they are getting that's their choice. I had silk flowers and paid a lot more than I would of if I had real flowers but I had never seen anything as beautiful as what my florist had come up with and I get to keep them forever, so I would of paid the earth for them!

Have I said I have a problem? Or an issue?? Thought I would give you a bit of advice when it comes to what you're paying cuz if you're anything like me you'd want to save where ever possible. Your prices are good as I said above, except for your buttonholes but seeing as you're happy we'll just leave it at that shall we.

Usually when someone goes on about something it means they have an issue. With respect, I didn't ask for advice, nor did I want any. Someone asked what we paid, I told them. I'm assuming from your response that you must be a florist or know the industry, and I respect your opinion if that's the case, but as you said, I'm happy with what I'm paying so lets just leave it there.

I found silk were more expensive so had real ones. In my bouquet I had a mix of roses and gerberas with some alstromeria, with crystal sprigs. Girls had smaller hand ties with gerberas and roses, mixing the 2 took the cost right down from just rose posies if anyone is looking to shave a bit off the price.

I did shop around which is good advice give above, I ended up with 2 florists, as I was getting ready at moms and couldn't get button holes to church easily and also corsages for mom in law and sis in law so lady that decorated the church took care of the groom and this end.

    xx
