blooming fed up with my photographer, still no link to my pictures from our pre wedding shoot that was done at the begining of november, after calls and txts from me after i went to see the images 2 weeks after the photo shoot. so i got my planner on to tthe case and she is fuming as she has called her 3 times to remind the photographer to do it even last night and nothing.... so the wedding planner has set a sting up .... shes refered another couple to my photographer and has been told to ring the couple toinight... now if the photgrapher ring the new couple me and the planner are going to be fuming....
my planner is finding me alternative photographers but with 4 and a bit months left till the wedding i really am fuming worried and anxious.....
we have payed a £500 deposit to the current photographer and she was £2550 in total..... i dont want to loose her as she is the best at what she does she is award winning etc and the photos are so important to me....
but its coming up to near 3mths without this link and we had them done for our wedding website to be joint with the invites that are going out the 2nd week in feb.... if shes like this now imagine after the wedding....
but iam so worried about finding another good photographer that is free on my wedding date
im on the verge of crying... photos to me are more importantthan my dress and venue as they are the key to memories :-(

Its a pretty rubbish situation hun but at least the wedding planner is on it and has set up the sting! Its good that they are looking into alternative photographers for you, Im sure they will find you a better one if its needed! xx

Oh hunni thats really not good wheather shes the best or not, not getting back to you after 3 months is really not good customer service and like you i would be worried and fuming too. To me the 3 mains things after the actual service are the rings, photo's and venue, so we have paid that little bit extra to make sure we get them right and of course you want the best service they can provide to go with that. I hope between you, you and your planner can get this sorted! Big hugs hunni and fingers crossed for you.

Ok take a deep breath hunni - leave it to your planner to sort.
If she doesn't sort it soon she'll be in breech of her contract with you and therefore would have to pay you your deposit back as she hasn't fulfilled her part of it xxx

am annoyed at my self as well as h2b is stressing at me because i was the one that found this photographer before we had the planner etc, h2b is so busy at work to the point very rarely has a lunch or even on days offs hes working or on call for another pre wedding shoot will be difficult to sort out, plus theres so much still tpoday with other wedding bits and am back at work at the mo too and we wanted the pics for a signature board insread of a guest book , he stressing at me as he wants to see the piccies from origional photographer and keeps asking if we have the link, as he hasnt seen them as when i went to see them he was away with work. he fuming and wants to go down to her house!!
am worried that i wont get my deposit back but i feel like i havent got the service i wanted and tbh i feel let down like my bubble has been worst

I can understand your frustration, and that you're worried the replacement photographer wont be as good, but do remember that your relationship with the photographer is just as important and at the moment I don't think you would be able to trust your photographer anyway. And check with a solicitor about your deposit too - since your photographer hasn't provided you with the service you were quite reasonably expecting you will probably be able to get this back if you do go elsewhere, even if it's not right away. x

First of all if she is not co operating now are you sure she is the best? She may have won awards but that doesn't mean that there isn't someone else out there that can do just as good a job.....or even better as at least they would talk to you. I'm not sure if I remember reading before saying you were not happy with the pre shoot photos. If she didn't do a good job of that can she really be trusted with the wedding?
Photography is one of those things that people either have an eye for or not. You can have as many academic awards for photography but that doesn't make them good as they are only looking at the technical side of things rather than if they made the best of their subject. Just because they charge more money also doesn't make them any better.
If she isn't communicating with you when she has had ample time to do so put into writing your grievances and if she fails to respond to that then she is in breech of her contract with you and should refund you your money. Just make sure that all communication is either by email or recorded post so you can prove to a small claims court if need be.

yes jo thats the one... i wasnt happy not because of her shots just because me and h2b have very different skin tones i am yellow cool and he is warm ghost white so it is very hard to shoot, as i dont need light he needs light etc etc....i wasnt happy because i just didnt like the poses i was in wasnt happy with what i was wearing wasnt happy as i looked fake there were a few nice ones but even the photographer had said that we are a very different couple to shoot as my smile doesnt seem gueniune when thinking of the nicest thing in my life simply because my face isnt expresionate.....thats why i was willing to pay extra for an extra pre shoot.,
h2b is threatening to go make as much noise at possible at the wedding fair she is doing this sunday!! as hes peeved off

pennie- the thing that gets me is the 1st time i met her i was in her house for 6 hrs gabbing chatting away etc etc we get on like a house on fire really thought she was wonderful...
seen loads of her work my florest recommended me to her as she has so many recomendations... is always in the wedding ideas magazine with 2 or 3 page spreads and spoke to a few that have used her and she rates really highly so i did my research....

Has she told you how she is going to get over the lighting issue on the day? You and your h2b are not going to change skin complexions over night. Something tells me that she should have known about this before the shoot and corrected it? That is what pros are for???????
I know the h2b is angry. I would be too but shouting off at a wedding fayre isn't the best way to deal with the situation. Put it all in writing so she has chance to respond and then you can act legally if she fails to do so. Its the best way of getting your money back if she doesn't buck her ideas up as you then have grounds to cancel the contract as she has failed her responsibilities which results in a terminated contract as you have paid for a service that has not been delivered.

thats sooo bad!!! how frustrating for you!! i personally would start looking and emailing other photographers; i like you think photos are one of the most important things as far as memories go but just cos she is an award winner doesn't make her the best. it is also about the customer service she provides etc!! if she does get back to you ask her what kind of compensation is she going to give you and how would she like it if you didn't pay her on time!!!

whoooooo hoooooooo, i am soooooooooo made up, we have a new photographer who is infact well more expensive than origional photographer but we have done a deal and got exactly what we want for our wedding day, pre wedding shoot, signature board, album of 50 pages and a copy right free disc of all our piccies, for 2 photographers and a woman who "jushes" all day coverage from bridal prep through to the last dance with unlimited piccies for the same price as the old photographer...
h2b is going to get our deposit back tomr and cancel our agreement with the old photographer....
but what annoys me is she is still commenting on everyone elses FB accounts and yet cant send me the flipping link... ah well tomr its all going to be over and i have found a new photographer whoo hoooooo another stress gone :D

WHEAY! so glad youve fixed it. your last photographer sounds like a right cow; lets do a UKB boycott. Tell us here name and if the mods allow, her webs, so we all know AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE!! personally, i feel like us girls are somewhat like an online family, and if shes hurts one of us . . . lets all get her back! as far as im concrened, she can be as good as she bloody well likes, im STILL not using her if shes proven herself to be this crap to you. if we dont get the deposit back i can see h2b causing a bit of a stink and not bad mouthing her but more expressing his disapointment over the internet ... as h2b rang up before to start the ball rolling and the now ex photographer said "good luck finding someone else" to which h2b replied " dont worry we already have"

If you do have a problem getting your deposit back contact Trading Standards as they are really helpful and will ensure you receive it back since your original photographer went against their contract to you. I have had dealings with Trading Standards when our cake icer refused to do our cake after agreeing and accepting money but refused to give our deposit back. We did get it back once they dealt with it. xx

spooney....even if in her contract it doesnt say about the link... it was just the fact that neither me or the photographer liked our pre wedding piccies and h2b wanted to see them but he was away at work at the time so wanted the link to e mail him so that he could see them too....so she said she would send me the link via email before we set up another pre wedding shoot ??? xx
