Bridesmaid dresses are doing my head in.... i want Red (pillar box red) and ideally knee but could be full length. My bridesmaid are all sizes 8-10 so slim ladies. I have a budget of £80 per dress so getting proper bridesmaid dresses are out the question really and i don't want a china dress.... any suggestions? Anyone used dressmakers and how much?
My other dilemma is that my 2 junior bridesmaid will be 9 and 11 and would also like to wear red - i originally hoped they wanted white but apparently this is babyish and for flower girls and they both adamant they are bridesmaids lol. If i get them both red dresses will it matter if slightly different fabric or shade of red to my adult bridesmaid dresses? If i had the money i would have all 5 made in the same fabric and the juniors edited slightly.
Please help ladies as starting to lose sleep now !!

I know this may sound bizarre but have you tried bay of e?? have put a link on your wall... just been sitting on google for you!! dont know if exactly right red but its a start. i know someone on here found beautiful bm dresses on the rainforest one! ill keep looking :) xx

yes like lulu said the bay, i got my flowergirl dresses on there but they are from an american shop only cost £30 each! and they are gorgeous mine are ivory but they do have them in all diffrent colours and sizes and im sure you will be able to find some bridesmaid dresses aswel. but remember its your wedding you decide what they were! i jusy baught my flowergirl dresses before showing any of them and they dont have a chioce but to wear them lol. my eldest flowetgirl is 9 and she cant wait to be a princess for the day :) other than that maybe try deb enhams or b.h.s. l in a box have some nice ones in your budget but there under colour ruby i think you could class it as pillar box red tho some of them x

Have to say though the BM dress you got is absolutely stunning!! and if they do it in Red for millz090 even better!! I know its nicer to see them in person first, you could always find a similar one or a stockist (my FSIL found a pair of Benjam Adams shoes online for £25, in the shops still £180) so could always 'try' before you buy?! x

High street! They're all small so you'll have a lot of choice. The colour you describe is very holiday, as soon as the winter lines come out I'm sure you'll have a lot of choice.

Its not a summer colour as always pastels and pinks whereas Red is a winter colour so im hoping something appears in the shops too xxx

Linzi-Jo - amazing idea, thanks honey. My bridesmaid also works in costume design so she would be good at knowing fabrics that can dye, etc.
I have found these dresses and amazing only £30 so ordered one to look at the quality and see what i think and if any good then can order another 2. I love the lace as really feminie and pretty.... thoughts?? xxx

Hi millz, so the dress from the bay of e arrived yesterday and i absolutely LOVE it! Great quality! Just got to get one of the girls to try it on, fingers crossed the fit is good and they like too, then order 2 more, jobs a gooden!!!

Ooo it is lovely babe, see what the fittings like as my BM ordered a dress from China and the sizing was so wrong, cost £40 to have it altered and doubled the cost of the dress. Fingers crossed yours will be fine xx

hi millz, right sister tried on the dress last night! It looks lovely, but be warned they come up smaller than high street sizes. My sister is a 12 on the highstreet, but i think she'll need at least a 14, if not a 16. I think my maid of honor who is normally a 8-10 high street will fit nicely in to the 12 i've got.
But dress really nice - lovely fabric and great quality! Would recommend.
Am going to be ordering bigger sizes.
