    Hi,
Im having a bit of a battle at the moment, We are having our reception in a hotel, we've got a good deal, and get a few things included in the price such as the cake, and silver candleabras on the tables- im yet to find out how big they are and go and have another look to be sure of what I can do with the room, but I was recently browsing on the bay of E and came across some looooovely birdcages, Im a big butterfly fanatic, and these birdcages have butterflies on them! I instantly thought of dressing them with a few flowers and some clip on butterflies, placed on a mirrored plate with a few scatter crystals...and Im 99% sure that I prefer that idea, as its more me... and the candleabras means I have to buy flower arrangements, where as the bird cages, I can cheaply source the flowers..plus the bird cages are a steal at £11.99 each...

My dilemma is, the 1s I want.....they only have 4 left, which is how many I need, as I dont really want big bird cages on the top table...Do I just buy them, or am I being silly and doing an impulse buy. I love them so much!

Thank-you! :) I've rang my mother to discuss them and shown her the link, and she agreed the ones I have found would be lovely, they already have butterflies on them too...So i've gone and purchased them! a bird cage is a bird cage I guess lol but the link you have posted has a few nice little tealight birdcages that I like, so thanks :)

Its an expense we wernt planning for, but having seen them, there are so much more me rather than just having what we get free with the hotel...plus id still have to spend money on flower arrangements for the tables if i went for the candelabras.. so its not really costing us anymore...plus I feel I can be more creative with the bird cages... :)

I would say birdcages, I'm buying 9 birdcages and decorating them with clip on butterfly's, flowers in the middle of them and they are going on a mirror plate with scatter crystals. An expense I didn't think about but they look gorgeous and can always sell them after if I need to x x

Amy thats exactly what i want to do :) I love butteflies, and so a bit of a theme is emerging! my mum laughs because everything I suggest for the reception has something to do with butterflies...I may aswell buy myself a pair of butterfly wings and wear them down the aisle! lol

    Go for it.
Personally I would actually have a mix of both depending on how many tables you have.
But the bird cages sound more you so that is def the better option

I only have 4 tables, and then the top table... im not having a big wedding- the candleabras are included with my hotel package, but dont think ill need them as the bird cages I have bought are reasonably big... will just buy a mirror plate and scatter crystals along with a few tea lights and then decorate the cage with a few flowers and butterflies :)
