We just went through ours and decided to cut out a few things we didn't want any more, saved a bunch of money and then came up with new ideas and added it all back up again. Whoops!

It's terrible I even re calculated it all on my phone as I didn't want to believe the total on the screen! I think most of us are probably in the same boat though.
@Brilly - well done with your bargain hunting.

thank you labelle i found the bay is the place thats saved me the most hun instead of paying loads for the like of 130 wine charms its cost me probably 10% to make them instead of buy them and mother of groom book mark and mother of bride book mark are priced up to £12 each it cost me less then £1 each to make them hun so i found making some of my stuff has benefitted us loads xxx

@tillyturtle - I am hoping that is does help me budget for the rest, I have a column of what has already been spent and another column where I have put approximate costs of things still left to buy. So I am hoping I can work out where I can cut the costs by researching things a lot more.
@Krissy905 - I've not shown H2B either yet, think he would have a small heart attack, not spent as much as others on here but more than we wanted to.
    xx

We did a spreadsheet of rough costs and actual costs - and we copied in all rough costs to the actual column, then updated each item once we'd paid for them - this way you can see an actual total as you're going along. We found it also helps you focus on haggling and negotiation, as you know how much you want to spend as opposed to just agreeing for a price - we negotiated on everything except the church fees in the end and brought our rough costs down by 27%!

I'm also changing all the costs in my budget column as well as the actual column so I can see how we are getting along.
