Did anyone change out of their wedding dress for the evening do? Does anyone plan to, plan to have the option to, or wish that they did?
I'm half tempted to get myself a bridesmaid dress in white for the evening do. But I suspect once I've got my wedding dress on I'm going to want to make the most of wearing it!
How about you guys?

It's Chinese tradition to change several times during a wedding (the auspicious number is 8!!) but my venue doesn't have changing facilities, just a small office - so I'm going to stay in my dress all evening - seeing as it'll have cost me over £700 I want to get the most out of it anyway!

Im tempted to as well. Im thinking of getting a knee length white frock and change into it half way through the evening so that Il be able to dance properly. Im a big fan of dancing!

i reckon you wont want to take it off when you've got it on! you'll get used to the weight of it by the time you're up and dancing :-) and like you said, they're not cheap so make sure you get your moneys worth :-) I'm taking a change of clothes for later on as our hotel bar is open til silly hours of the morning and im not sitting up in my dress lol but i wont be changing til its all finished xx

I get hot at the best of times so I'm going for a light dress anyway - satin was out of the question for me! I want to stay in mine all day, the only reason I might have a change is because I'll more than likely spill something on myself... gonna have to wear a giant bib for eating lol x

I'm with you all, It's the most expensive peice of clothing I will own so I'm getting my money out of it. My dress has a long train and they will show my MOH how to tie it up so that I can dance on the evening without it being in the way. Almost like having a second dress as it changes the shape as well. I'm also not going to remove my tiara and veil all day as it's part of the outfit x

I will be getting a plain outfit for the registry office (which is early in the monring and just the formality part for us) then will get into my actually wedding dress for a ceremony on the beach in the afternoon. In ther evening I will probably just take the hoop off but leave the dress itself on.
Soon to be joined together as the Wheeler family, can't wait
Doing thing our way xxxx

I've gone for a tea length dress so I can wear it all.day and as I'm small the long dresses made me look even smaller and frumpier

I took a dress with me that I could change into if I wanted to - it was the same as my bridesmaids dresses, but in a different color. I didn't change into it in the end. But on the plus side, I now know that I can spend 12 hours comfortably in my dress so when it is dyed and shortened I will be ok in it xx

Hehe. I'll have to see what the dress is like on before I decide. I don't want to spend money on an extra bridesmaid dress I might not end up wearing!

I'm having a dress made for me that can have the underskirt removed so I can wear the dress again for functions. Didn't want to spend all that money for a dress I'll wear only once! I'll simply remove the underskirt once the party gets going1
