Someone asked me if we are writing our own vows. I think it would be really special and romantic but it's a lot of pressure so not sure if we'd be able to do it. What are you ladies doing? Are you writing your own or using the traditional one? Which I also think is lovely coz it's one thing that makes u think wedding when u talk about traditional vows. So I don't know what to do about ours now :( x

were incorporating a poem into ours but were asking the guy preforming the ceremony to do it for us he knows what hes doing :) xx

I was going to write my own vows, when it came down to starting to think about them, even if i am getting married Aug 2014, i couldnt think of anything to write and it is like that every time, my h2b is the same. It would be very romantic if you wrote your own vows.
Maybe try to write the vows you want, and then see where that goes, then if it doesnt work out then you have the traditional vows to use.

If you marry in a church you dont get choice on the vows, you have to use the religious ones, but you get a choice as to whether you want them in old or modern english. It is only when having a ceremony at the venue or registry office that you are allowed to use your own vows xxx

We were thinking about it as I think the ceromony for registry offices and venues can feel a bit sparse, but have just decided to have a reading instead xx
