Rare Day () is making a new documentary series for Channel 4 about growing up in Britain today... and they've sent this request to our UKbride members...

"There will be five films, each about a different young person (or number of young people) going through a transition in their lives. We want the documentaries to be hopeful and inspiring, featuring people who are thoughtful, engaging and resilient.

We'd really like one of the documentaries in this series to understand, through the eyes of young people, what it means to form a meaningful relationship. We'll be asking them to reflect on this in the context of their own family background. Do you feel that your experiences within your own family unit have informed your decision to make a positive commitment to a lifelong partner? If so, we’d really love your input into our research.

The series is being made by a BAFTA award winning team, used to making sensitive films and working responsibly and collaboratively with children and young adults. We are bound by very strict regulations around filming with young people and we take our duty of care to contributors very seriously. We really hope that filming will be an empowering and positive experience for the people involved and a chance to reflect and tell their stories in their own words.

Haha me and H2B are both under 25, getting married in may but i wouldnt be able to go on tv :S x

i would love to apply for it. i find so many people think under 25 is too young even though so many do it. Sod it im going to apply. even though h2b is 30 btu im under 25 would that work>?

i under 25 and getting married in june but couldnt face going on tv again....my fella was on that bbc3 programme are u fitter than a pensioner and i was fimed for that was 2 nerve wrecking lol x

Those Challenge things are ridiculous anyway... first it was just look 18, so I hit 18 and they changed it to Challenge 21... then Challenge 25... in the bar I worked at in 2009 we ran Challenge 25 but were told to ID anyone who looked under 30!

Ataraxia- i used to work in betting shops and always had to think 25. the reason being is that so many people look older than they actually are and if you serve someone underage you get the sack and the shop loses its licence!

i know people that havnt asked people for id who are clearly older than 21 but younger than 25 and have been sacked aswell. that is part of the reason why i left because you could just get on with your job you were constantly worried about having to id everyone that comes into your shop and people do get funny when they get id and they are 30!

i'll only be 21 when i get married - unfortunatly im getting married next year, otherwise i prob would have applied lol

Thanks for posting. I'm really sorry but we cannot offer any financial incentives for participation. Because these are documentaries we can't be seen to influence events, and I'm afraid offering payment would be seen as that.
