    Hi everyone,

I was just reading another post and it made me think about music whilst your guests are waiting before the ceremony. Are you having music? If you are, what are you having? What it be weird if there was no music and people just talked? x x

We're hoping to have a marimba duo for my entrance so they'll play music while the guests arrive and wait!

We had classical music playing in the background for when the guests arrived and while they waited for me to arrive. We put together some of our favourite for then, my entrance, signing the register and when we left.

I think playing music in the background is a nice touch. Been to a wedding recently without the mood music and everyone ended up talking really loudly. I think the music helps set a nice mood for the occasion.

Me and OH have just talked about it and definitely think it's a good idea. One of the songs we want is Desiree - Kissing You because of just seeing it in another post. Thanks Girls! x x

We're having a quartet and they're going to be playing for about 30 mins prior to the start time of the ceremony. Then playing for my entrance, the signing and then afterwards whilst people are having drinks and piccies. Don't thin having them for the meal otherwise will mean them playing from 1.30 until around 6 which could be quite pricey!

Yeah, i think it's best to have some background music, classical is a good choice because it's just there and not distracting. x

We are having a harpist for ceremony but when we went to the registrar last week to give notice. They asked us and said if we would have been having a CD we would need about 20-25 mins worth of music while guests are coming in, plus music for Bride entrance and bride and groom leaving.

I'm agreeing with Samantha on this one, when I ran weddings I tended to notice a difference with volume if there was no music playing in the background but in saying that everyone's in high spirits, after all their family or friends are getting married, people who haven't seen one another for a while are meeting up again. I personally won't be having music then as both our family and friends will be load regardless of if there is music playing.
