So, i was just wondering if everyone is having everything totally matching in their colour scheme? are you having invites, BM dresses, venue dressing etc in exact matching colours? like the exact same shade? I'm having Royal Blue but the wedding invite lady did some samples in different shades of blue and a bright blue looks really striking on the invites but I wouldnt want it for the BM dresses. Should I just stick with Royal Blue throughout or could I have different shades of blue for different things??

I dont think there is anything wrong with different shades of same colour I think it can look nice....... I am having everything matching myself but only coz I was really lucky and it just turned out that way xx

my invites will match part of the bouques i.e calla lilies on them the favour boxes will also have calla's other than that nope the bridesmaids in burgandy to tie them into my dress, all my tables will be in different colours as we couldn't make up are minds on that lol

My colours are black ivory and red roses lol All the roses although all a deep red colour, they wont be EXACTLY the same shade.......i think this will make them stand out more and look fantastic!!

My main colour was fushia pink, but there were varied shades of different fushia pink, it wasnt all perfectly matched but it hardly noticed.
I am now Mrs Stacey Stiles and loving it!

My colours are purple and gold. I gave up trying to match the purples as a lot of stuff was brought from the bay of e so it was hard to get them all exact.I have a sash and bolero that was totally the wrong purple so had to get new ones.Purple is my favourite colour too, my whole bedroom is purple. xx

I'm having a coffee and cream colour theme but there's all different shades of brown from dark chocolate to a mocha/latte colour. from the bits and bobs I've collected so far it's all looking nice :) x

Our first choice of colour scheme was royal blue - but we've finished up having a mixture of blues. Tbh I found it difficult getting a lot of things in royal blue.
My bm is wearing a midnight blue dress (which really suits her, and the blue really jumps out in pics as well), h2b is having royal blue cravat and hankie, as is the best man, usher and my dad (but ties not cravats). Our cake has got royal blue ribbon, but on the tables we're having crystals that are a bit lighter than midnight blue, but not quite royal. My flowers are silk roses in a mixture of ivory and different blues.

My colours are purple. Deep dark purple.
I am not worried if there are slight differences in shades. Going to have a bit of lilac too.
I also have to have some pink in there as the bridesmaids dresses have pink ribbon down one side.

i think its a good idea of having different shades of the color...
so far i got lots in aqua but will be matching with a 2nd color as lots of things need to be thought about again and seen what i really want as i cant make my mind up either... might be changing whole theme just keeping colors ........ ohhhh well all so difficult :)

I am the complete opposite to everything matching, lol. Apart from my 2 daughters wearing the same colour dress, everything is mismatched on purpose! Just a general theme of pastel colours and vintage inspired things and I am happy with that. I think it is nice to have different shades, but go with what you want and what makes you happy, it isn't worth it otherwise. :) xx

Our color scheme was purple, lilac and gold. The BM's dresses were the base color, and everything else just completmented it as I didn't want everything to be exactly the same. The invitations were white, and we bought some purple and lilac ribbon to tie then together. None of the lilac was exactly the same either. It made it easier for me to buy stuff if it didn't have to be a particular shade, as I was able to buy online and not worry about it. xx

I'm having a nice brown (caramel/mocha) for my bms but i want orange lillys in my bouquet as its a flower i associate with my papa, he passed away when i was little but he has had an influence in alot of choices ive made in life, if you know what i mean.
Think brown & orange will be okies ? its what i want so i hope it does go lol

hahaha!!! im taking 1 of my friends with me so that i dont let them get their own way. im never a pushover, im very demanding & always make sure i get my way but i think i just want them to be happy aswell on my day & there to be no moans.

It does look nice if you can match it, but shades of the same colour still look great! Use that well known search engine and type in mismatched wedding party and go into images, they look fantastic!!! xx

Purple seems to be a popular colour at the moment!
My theme is purple, going into it I was convinced that everything would be lavender as I completely fell in love with Julia Robberts bridesmaids dress in My best friends wedding lol.
That idea soon changed. My 2 small daughter's are going to be Flower girls and they are having lilac dresses, my H2B is wearing a deep purple (darker than cadbury) and my bouquet is going to be a mix of ivory, deep purple, lavender and lilac. I think its nice to have a mix.

I asked my brothers wife to pick a colour and she said purple, i seen a purple bridesmaids dress i love and its stuck.
It was either going to be that or aquamarine to go with my ring but purple was easier to find.
it was also gonna be disney/princesses realated coz of my dress i wanted but because it was such a deep purple that i want my bridesmaids dresses to be i changed it to butterflies.
this also seems quite popular and easy to find too.
I just hope i dont change my mind anytime soon as iv already bought lots of deep purple stuff.
