Well i have just found out last week that i am going to be a Granny which is great in a scary kind of way (too long to go into on here but my daughter will need a lot of help) The thing is its really knocked the wind out of my sails 'wedding wise' .I feel like what are you doing prancing down the aisle in a big frock woman you're going to someones Granny for goodness sake! I did initially worry that i was too old to have a big dress and big church wedding etc as i will be 42 when we get married but i talked myself round . I feel like i am going to look silly or mutton dressed as lamb.I know part of it is because its all new and a shock (i had major wobbles on my 40th which i didn't expect at all!) Are there any other Granny brides, how has being a Granny changed/affected your wedding plans.Am i just being daft. Please tell me i am as until this i was soooo excited but its like the shine has gone off the whole thing! xxx

I had a customer in work last week that was attending her fil wedding, he's 75!! They were having the full on wedding with 150 guests. I don't think there's such a thing as too old.
Congratulation on the soon to be granny-ness though!
If only life could be one long tea break

I would say yes you are being daft lol, I think whatever your age be 42 or 24 you can have whatever wedding and dress that makes you feel happy, dont let it take the shine out, you deserve a day of happiness and many more to come being a granny xx

I'm 39 hun and my mum was 45 when she had a church wedding 17 years ago, we're having the full works, i'm so excited about it all now, age definitely doesn't come into it. Your celebrating a most wonderful day and should have it exactly how you want and i'm sure becoming a Granny is going to be amazing too xxx
