i think i need to become a power user but will have to wait til i get my redundancy pay hopefully in time for this as h2b is cake mad- i gave him a choice the other day between a car to take him to venue or cake n he said definatly a cake, so we need to sort this out still ,i would drive to nottingham to collect if i won it costs a lot less in petrol than a cake would cost !

Its a bit poop that its only a local collection. This is not a prize for me then even though id love to have it but im not gonna travel from aberdeen to nottingham to get my cake and if i did then say if i did some damage to it on the way back up the road???????

I won't moan about the delivery if I win it as I can go and pick it up. I guess for a lot of girls though a couple of hours drive is worth the £750 cake. Even from London etc you are talking £40 for fuel tops so its still worth the journey for the cake. Nottingham is central to most places.

Jo, Nottingham is hardly central to MOST places!! Its an 18 hour round trip for me. And thats assuming the weather is decent, (and at the end of November in the North of Scotland, that is unlikely). Who is gonna do that trip for us the day or 2 before our wedding? and the stress of it getting damaged during the trip, then not having another back-up cake?
So yet again this another prize a Scottish person cant win. Glad i didnt pay for power user, or I'd be getting mighty peeved off about now.

Jo I used to drive it myself all the time - but with a 4 tier cake in the car trust me it will be a nightmare - im already having nightmares about transporting it from darlo to Durham lol - plus I really wont have time and I dont drive so would be begging a parent lol
