Hey, Im getting married on Saturday the 13th April next year, im getting in a right pickle with my planning! didnt realise its only 6months to go to be honest! We're getting married in a registry office, and then on for a sit down meal followed by an evening reception at a hotel not far from the registry office. How far along are you in planning? I had written a month by month checklist but feel asthough I havnt done enough. I have booked:

    Photographer
    DJ
    Wedding Cars
    Make-up and hair
    Honeymoon

Currently in the process of finding a dress (going at the weekend to double check the 1 I like)
Trying to find a cheap accoustic singer for after the meal before the dj takes over at 7.30pm

Quite lucky in that things like the cake is provided by the hotel, however it is plain and we are allowed to take it away, decorate it and bring it back.

The hotel events co-ordinator had suggested we would meet in Feb to discuss the requirements and all the extras, but considering all we are provided with on the day is candleabras, I cant help but feel it should be sooner, so I can start ordering the correct decorations etc. Do you think I should get in touch and say I'd prefer to do it sooner rather than later? Feels a little rushed to go through everything important 2months before. I have no idea what flowers to order for the rooms, and feel a bit worried that I wont know until February!!

Yeah, Id email and request a meeting now. I'm sure the Feb meeting will be for finalising details such as the menu. The events co-ordinator should be happy to meet with you as many times as you want - she's working for YOU remember, her job is to ensure you are happy and stress-free about everything.
