So i got our save the dates made, they obviously have the date, and the occassion (ryan and katies wedding) etc... They are fridge magnets. What i am wondering is, when we send them, does anything else go in the envelope with them? Like a note or anything coz obviously all the details will be on the invites... but some family are coming from overseas, so would it be an idea to recommend the hotel and *IF* they are offering a discount with the STDs so that people can get that booked if they want to....Or does that just go out with invites as well?

that will go out with the invites. i have family in florida but am just sending all the info with the invites but i dont think they will be able to come anyway!! xx

Thats what im thinking Frankielynn, I got family coming from guernsey who i know do really want to come, and family in ireland as well, and it might help them budget for flights etc if they can get hotel sorted earlier.

We're not doing a save the date as we are only going to be engaged for 8 months, so didnt see the point, but if I had a longer engagement i think magnets sound ace!! sorry just had to say that!! hehe

Yep we have sent our save the dates out last month. We put a little slip of paper in with our Wedding website address on. That way they were getting all info needed whilst we're waitig for the invites to come xx
