Hi, I have found a Deal online for this company based in the West Midlands. Website looks great and have spoken to the guy who owns the business and he seems pretty genuine but I was wondering if anyone had already used them and what their experience was?

Because we are working to a tight budget we looked at online deals and I am getting a £900 package for around £300 which is about the max we can go to but I still have some reservations and hoping that someone might be able to allay these fears a little?

Not local to me but have you tried googling reviews about the company? Also look at their previous work. I would also get a contract that you are happy with and check the detail. May I ask why it's so much cheaper than their usual price? And check that your either get enough photos in the package or the rights to the photos after the day as I know some photographer do the day cheap but then it costs a bomb to order the photos from them as they sell you the prints rather than the whole lot if that makes sense x

It's a Groupon deal, I have spoken to the guy who owns the business and he says they use the deals to fill gaps in their schedules. You get 300 images on USB with 3 prints included but although we are allowed exclusive use of the images, they retain the copyright to all the images. I have got some concerns because he said their formal meeting doesn't usually take place until 6-8 weeks before the wedding whereas other photographers I have had quotes from on here have all said they prefer to meet the couple before they are formally booked.
I really don't know where to start with it all.

Ask to meet him before you book so you can see his work. if when you do meet him your still unsure then pass. At least then you can see his other work and get a feel for his personality

I'm always weary of group on deals as what if people book the same dates ect? I'd do what Emily says and ask to meet before you book x
