I followed a suggested page on fb this morning called ***********h wedding rings.
Basically, they don't have any shops and if you make an appointment they come to your home with their stock, around 250. Rings or so. They can be tailored with extra or less diamonds, shaped around engagement rings, free engraving and interest free installments. They can take about 10 weeks to be delivered or 6 weeks before the wedding if you'd prefer. Every ring is guaranteed for life, free replating, resizing, replacement diamonds if they fall out, cleaning and polishing for life.
This sounds great, but what do you all think? Does it sound TOO great?
Have a look on the website or fb page, it's got a bit more information on, says about free bridesmaids/best man gifts too for enquiring!

I've heard a lot about them pressuring people to buy and commit and constantly phone if you don't commit :/ xx
CommentAuthorAprilS61
Oh :/ I think it said on the site that they give you about a month to decide, and even if you don't commit to them you still get the free gifts. Do you know what the prices are like? A lot of the rings I've seen are lovely and something I would go with, it would just be the price that could put me off really. Xx

We have both said before that we don't mind paying a bit more as neither of us want a plain band, I know mines going to be pricey because Ill be having platinum to match my engagement ring as apparently any other metal will react with it. OH is easy really, doesn't want any diamonds in it, just a nice detailed line or something across lol. Weve said we'd rather pay up once than settling with a simple ring and buying a more expensive one later, but wouldn't pay a ridiculous amount of money for some metal at the end of the day lol.
They have been at wedding fayres iv been to aswell, their website looks swish but I wasn't convinced meeting some of the people in person and not sure if I'd be comfortable with one of them in our home pressuring us hmm.

I like the idea of them but I've been looking at reviews and they've put me off them a little, but the fb page is full of good comments from what I can find. I'm stuck! X

Where abouts are you from as we got ours from the j3wellery quarter in Brum and I think they were reasonable prices. I've not used Smooch but as Lana said, I've seen them at wedding fairs and the people I've spoken to haven't really seemed that helpful or professional. Maybe I just caught them at the wrong time?? We had a home visit from them. I didn't actually find them overly pushy, though they did offer a discount if we bought then and there (I hate it when companies do that, don't know why but it gets my back up).
However I didn't find their prices particularly great; you can get better elsewhere. Also, because I wanted a custom-made wedding band I didn't like that I was speaking with a salesperson rather than directly with the jeweller/designer.
In the end we had my engagement ring re - made with a company in Hatton Garden who are awesome, and they're making our wedding rings too.

I'm in Teesside, no jQuarter near me I don't think. I think as we're both off most of next week were gunna have a look around, go a little bit further out cause we don't have much around and the shops that are in town I've already scoured the websites. If we still don't find anything well probably ask for an appointment x

We bought our rings from this company back in February, have had one problem after another since day one unfortunately. The lady that came to the house took away my engagement ring so they could match the setting, told me it would be returned in 10 days - 6 weeks and numerous fobbed off emails and phone calls it eventually reappeared. When the wedding rings appeared h2bs wasn't engraved as it should have been, returned it 3 weeks ago and still no sign. Every time I have phoned, I've had a stock response of "it'll be with you by x time" but every time "x time" rolls around I have to chase them up again! Moral of the story, go to a jeweller with premises, at least then you've got somewhere to go to shout at them!!

I'd probably go to an independent jewellers too. I used to work for g0ld3miths and the quality of diamonds isn't very good. An independent will be able to make you what you want with better quality diamonds for less xx

Oh dear. I think I'll try and stay away from them then. Next week were going to have a look round a few shops and hopefully come away with something we love! Hope you get yours sorted Heather! Xx

personally i didnt like them, the man that i had an apointment with was very pushy, had no clue what he was talking about & was trying to sell me a ring made of both paladium & gold in the same ring.... he claimed this would be absolutely fine, when i mentioned toughness/softness of metals he still was adament it would be ok.... however what would actually happen is that the paladium being tougher than the gold would wear the gold away til there is no gold left as gold is the softer metal.
Personally i cant stand that company, the experience i had with them showed them to be liars, & pushy salesmen that really dont care about the customer so long as they get their money. & also you dont get the gifts unless you buy from them!
I would highly recommend another company that make wedding rings forever (think about it & the name will come to you from that) they were absolutely amazing, when we came into some money troubles they were more than happy to give us a payment break here & there, they care about their customers & are not at all pushy! they are really friendly, if they are unsure of the answer to one of your questions they actually call the owner of the company in front of you to get the answer there & then! & the owner even answers late at night (i think due to us chatting about our newborn at the time the appointment was about 8:30 ish & we were chatting until about 11 - 11:30 ish at night & the owner still answered the questions at that time of night!) they are so easy to talk to, more than happy to help, go well beyond their expected means. they were just brillient!
Find out who you are & do it on purpose!

I came accross the online company at a wedding fair and they were trying to cnvince us that their prices are so cheap because they sell the metal at the price they buy it for (which would basically mean they don't make any profit and paying to be at wedding fairs etc would cause them to make a loss). We hate being lied to and to have them lie to us before we even get to see the products made us want to walk away immediately. When I got home I did go on their website just to see if their prices were as low as they said but discovered the other ring company at the fair (also an online based one) were about half the price but didn't seem to do rings smaller than a J which would be too big for me. Eventually though I decided to go with a company who I believe I found advertising here (paid for advert, not a forum hijack) and my ring (9K plain yellow gold and in the right size since they sent me a free ring sizer in the post) is only £88.53. OH's will be more expensive as he's going with palladium with a pattern.

Katya, as far as i know it does not wear, my gan had 3 rings on one finger for 60 years one was 9ct gold one was silver and one was 18c gold and they never wore. so they are right, specaily when molded in one ring so there no rub at all.
