Ok i have been meaning to do this for a while but with just over 5 weeks to go i thought i better get started.I'm not going crazy just little things like ALWAYS remembering to take off my makeup before bed, exfoliating at least once a week and moisturising daily, having an intensive moisurising hair treatment once a week, going to the gym at least twice a week and having a sauna/steam at least once a week.I will also be having a sunbed once a weekand epilating once a week.I am going to try and eat lots of fruit and vegetables plus i have multi vitamins,B6 tablets and grlic tablets(ouderless ones!) and get plenty of early nights.I have already been having my nails done every 3 weeks since May so they are looking good and have an appointment this week to colour my hair for the wedding (complete change eeek) and another appointment for the week before to do anything that is needed!
What are you doing to prepare or are you already doing it? I do try to do most of the above usually but tend to let it slide so i am going to make a big effort...surely i can manage it for 5 weeks! xxx

I've joined bootcamp! It is bloody hard work and i am feeling muscles that i never knew existed but it will be worth it in the end!! I am also a bit fanatical about taking my make up off at night and exfoliating twice a week. Things we do eh.! The boys will just roll out of bed on the day and be ready!!! x

I too have a new skin care regime, I'm starting early so I can find what works for me.

I am hoping to lose all the weight I want to by May next year so I only need to worry about maintaining it in the run up to the wedding rather than loosing it, so will hopefully be under less stress.

I have also been practising relation and breathing techniques as I am a right streets head and the weeks before I will not be able to sleep! Xx

Ive still got a while to go but at moment im just focusing on losing the rest of the weight ive lost so far... (was a weight issue before getting engaged so not entirely bridal diet) but like LauraJo i want to lose it sooner rather than later so i can enjoy being 'slim' for a few months before stressing about losing a few extra pounds closer to the big day! So ideally want to lose my last 14.5lb by xmas! which hopefully wont be too hard..and sorting food portions/control out which has taken me 20months to finally learn!

Ive started doing 10min on exercise bike every morning - its not much but itll help shape my legs and waist
I moisturise every day so skins going to be looking 'radiant' by May!
Ive stopped dying my hair & get trim every 7wks so its in good condition ready for nearer the time for dying a nice shade & will be better length
I've stopped having nails done for a few months to recondition & re strengthen before going to start doing that again in probably March
Will start having legs etc waxed in the new yr so used to it by the time its nearer the big day & will also contemplate a sunbed or two

Thats it so far, its all thought rather than practice at moment, other than weight stuff!! x

I'm going to go to Debenhams on Wednesday with the H2B because I know they have a great range for skin regimes (I'm hoping to get free samples, hehe). I won't start it yet, because the wedding is not until next year, but I can start practising to see what works for me and start it next year. Hopefully we will have a better summer next year so I can get a healthy glow before the big day :D

I have fallen at the first hurdle and forgotten to take my vitamins today,i will go and take them now but have also made a big pan of fresh vegetable soup for lunch to make up for it.
Fingers crossed my skin seems quite calm at the moment. My skin seems to respond best to minimum fuss lol.I use simple cleansing wipes twice a day and oil of u moisturiser and occasionally i use blue cornflower face mask from body shop.It also seems to make a massive difference if i go on the sunbed once a week xxx

I've bought a shaping corset which I will wear at least twice a week from the second it arrives in the mail, need to get used to being cinched in so I actually manage to eat with it on lol. I'm blessed with good skin, but I've bought a super nice face lotion and primer as well as a bare minerals foundation. I've started having my eyebrows shaped and tinted and I'm tinting my eyelashes next week, then at some point I'm gonna try those semi permanent lashes- basically I'm trying out all the things, all of them. lol. trying to find options that will leave as little as possible up to chance on the day xx

You're not crazy mrsross2b, it's a good idea to start the health and fitness thing a year before the big day, that way you get into the habit of being healthy and working out and can enjoy the feeling of generally being healthier before the wedding. If you lose what you want to lose slowly it's more likely to stay off and also you can tone up more over time which means amazing beach bod for the honeymoon!

I have started trying to be healthier again and get back into the exercise as I put on half a stone since January and it's getting me down so I basically have decided I want to drop it by Christmas and then maintain it - again ..................I have been the same weight and size for 4 years, it piled on when we got engaged in January so it's time to take control again.

Good luck to all brides trying to get fitter and healthier.

I think that if you are fit and healthy it'll show in your skin as it'll be clearer and brighter.
    xx

All i can say MrsRoss2Be is your not crazy at all and even if you think its going to come off slowly thats not a bad thing at all... the longer it takes to come off, the longer it STAYS off!
thats why alot of these shakes/faddy diets dont work because they are quick and fast results and as soon as you are back to normal it comes piling back on. and as InDreamland says, it gives you plenty of time to get used to eating and living a healthy, well balanced and maintainable lifestyle from here on out not just for the big day!

Good luck to one and all and if anyone does need some support or motivation, this is the place to be or feel free to message/add me anytime!! xx

I didn't really start it for the wedding but in January I joined WWs, I have since lost 2 and a half stone on the plan, and feel amazing for it. It also means I have been taking better care of myself now because I feel so much better, its not a quick fix so would be no use to you with 5 weeks to go but I definitely recommend it to B2Bs getting married in about a year

NinaF52, amazing results so soon!! wow!! ive been doing WW for 20months now (not for bridal diet either) and hit 50lb back in Nov, and its taken me till now to lose another 12! I messed around for a long time kept putting on and losing etc but last 3 wks ive completely changed and got my motivation back, jumped back on the wagon as they say!! Also becoming a WW helper i need to be a good role model haha.
I have about 14.5lb to go to my initial goal but will probs go onto TRY and lose another 7lb after that so hit a nice round 6st! And would like to do that by xmas tbh so can actually enjoy xmas this year and enjoy the new slimmer me before focusing on toning / losing a bit more for wedding!! but a very big congratulations and well done for you!!! xx

ty Lula, its hard for me now cause my WWs meeting closed, so keeping the motivation is very hard, but i still have my leader on FB so i can still get advice, and she's told me today I can get a lift with her to a different meeting of hers so will be back on the plan properly in Oct. wanna lose my final 25lbs by christmas, so hopefully will be at goal very soon :)
