    hey guys!
yesterday we sorted out the kilts (live in edinburgh) and after shopping around settled on hector russel kilt hire ( they start from 39.95) we paid £61.93 per outfit with everything included and the staff were great. one thing i discovered though is that on the kilts you dont pay a deposit you pay it all in a oner! although if anyones going for grey slate as we are apparantly you should book it about 5/6 months in advance as its the first to get booked up, dont know if this is any help but hope so x

thanks for that Jay. Unfortunately as we live in a small town outwith Aberdeen we have only one place you can hire from although we are getting my eldest nephew to hire for his son (whos to be my pageboy) in Aberdeen when he hires his outfit for himself. Its easier to for us to hire at Sirs in Inverurie as if we are to go away for a few days my parents can return the kilts. x

Gosh thats good Jay as Sirs only let you collect the day before the wedding or on the day of it and return the next business day, so we would have to return them on the Monday after the wedding. Thanks for that. x

we're hiring in Inverness from Scotkilt, getting the black shadow with Argyll jackets, waistcoats and black shirts, shoes and accessories included for #45 each, kids are #35 (sorry my pound sign doesnt work! lol). Theyw ere great as let us pay a deposit and can pay the balance on the day we collect the outfits or any time before, so can pay it bit by bit. We're collecting ours on the Thurday and returning them by the Monday x

we were gonna hire from the people by the train station in inverness is that scotkilt Kessy? but we're not getting married up in Aviemore any longer so we're getting our kilts from Burtons which isn't really the same as they don't have the wide range of tartans that they had in inverness = ( x

ooh we looked at black shadow yesterday but the guy measuring us put us all off by saying they were a funeral kilt :( i was still up for it then the groom started making jokes that it was the funeral of his single life. it dies, then the best man joined in and they all came out the changing rooms muttering dum dum dum dum (the death march) and they all started laughing and saying they were gonna sing that as i walked down the aisle! i went in a huff and thus the grey slate kilt idea was born. so were having grey slate kilts (bloody £10 extra per kilt!) black shirts, argyll jacket and waistcoat black socks, red flashes red cravats with traditional kilt shoes x

We live in Cornwall but my H2b is Scottish - Aberdeen. We got a kilt hire from a local place. It's £100ish. Not bad - it comes with everything. Haven't got the family tartan though because you can't hire them.
