My brother had bacon sarnies at his wedding and they went before you could blink! No wastage and most folk like a bacon butty - and its cheap if you can buy your bacon in bulk from somewhere like costco.

My evening buffet is costing £6 per head. I think that is fairly reasonable. I wouldnt want the hassle of sorting it myself but if your happy to do it, it will save u money.
I am now Mrs Stacey Stiles and loving it!

we was quoted £4.50 per head but with over 150 people invited, we really couldnt afford it still. So weve got a Bookers card, were going to do our own food. Few family members are coming down a week before the wedding to lend a hand so they can cook lol

Yeah I was going to suggest Cost Co or As Da for a cold buffet option - unless you have caterers in you don't want to be making bacon butties in all your finery!

Have you looked into your local chippy to see if they would do a job lot of fish suppers for your guests served in newspaper cone type things?

this sounds odd, but check with your local hospital kitchen! our local hospital does "functions" and order loads of party stuff in and deliver it to your venue. And i am not talking hospital food here, i am talking GORGEOUS little yummy buffet type food. I have been to a few functions that they have catered, and the selection and quality was really really good. And the price is also very good!
in fact we usually order our desserts for Christmas from them, as they do lovely little mini gateux's (sp?) in mouth watering flavours.
they order from a national catering company, but get trade price so it makes it really good value.
I don’t repeat gossip so listen very carefully!!

^^ Saying that I think my local one does, as one of the HCA's left and they put on a spread for her, so pretty sure they must do it for other functions as well.
