We are coming up to our 2nd anniversary this August, and for one reason and another.....holidays, illness , christmas, decorating etc etc.....I have STILL not got around to making my wedding album. I have used online photobook printers previously for friends/holiday books etc, and I have used 3 companies and intend to go back to one of them for my wedding album......(I cannot name) .
My question is, how many of you are intending to do your own wedding album? I am doing my own becuase I like the idea of designing my own, I can have as many as I like and not a certain amount my photographer tells me I can have, I did a lot of DIY for my wedding, so it seems to complete it if I also DIY my album. And of course the cost will be much lower than getting it done for me.
I have a week off in 2 weeks time, so I am going to do it then......

Hi raggedyanne, I will be doing the same. We are just starting to plan so have only visited a few wedding fairs, but my main criteria for a photographer is that they can provide a USB of high resolution pics and also that we like their style of photography ( and the photographer him/her self of course)
I don't particularly want anything else in the package so hoping it will save some money and we can do photo books later when we can afford to.
Have fun doing yours, I bet it will bring back a whole lot of lovely memories.

I am using *********** they are US based so might need to pay tax & Duty, but I am making a 50 page book for around £100 I think......
One thing to remember is to use the highest quality pictures you have......iphone pictures and low res pictures generally dont print too well in these books
EDIT - COMPANY NAME HAS BEEN REMOVED AS IT IS DEEMED TO BE ADVERTISING

Oh god yeah, the details are really important arnt they. We spend so much time deciding on and buying these things, I think its important to document them. When did you get married?
only use the original jpeg images, downloaded pictures will not be sufficient quality..... you need every pixel you can get.....and downloading images loses pixels, so you need the originals to make it look the best it can be.
Make me a friend and I will give you any advice I can as I have made quite a few wedding albums......

Im planning on doing my own wedding book, getting the photos on disk and the photorights, and making my own one, that may like you said can do what you want, and can include photos from guest pics etc. plus photo books online are way cheaper than the stupid amount the photographers charge.
Met June 2009 on my Birthday,Met again July 2009 and got
together, May 2010 Moved in,Jan 2011 got pregnant,
August 2011 Got our own place, 2011 Had our Baby Girl,
Dec 2011 Got engaged, July 2015 Getting married! Yay!

I am going to do my own. I like the old style photo books, though, with the actual pictures stuck on the pages and the pages decorated with stickers and writing.

My photographer charges £80 for a mini book and £120 for the bigger book I can get these done online much cheaper like the smaller one is less than £15 as we get a disc with all our photos, it gives me something to do after the wedding if I make my own

I'm thinking of asking H2B if we should do ours as our first anniversary gift to each other. 1st year is supposed to be paper...I think. So it seems quite apt, plus we will hopefully have recovered a bit of money by then.

i did this using an online company got an offer from a site ... you know were you can group on your pictures lol ........ in fact i did one for us and one for my parents ..... delighted with results
Marrying ryan..... I also love the old style wedding albums too, and was thinking I might do one. the trouble is they only hold 30 pages, so you have to be really careful which ones you choose, cos they are all you gonna get. but maybe someone might buy you one as a wedding present, then all you have to do is buy the prints to go in it. They are lovely and feel so luxurious....
