Im thinking of making sweet trees for our candy table and maybe doing cupcake centrepieces for the tables myself too?? Saves paying out alot I guess, cakes can be made cheaply enough-They should hopefully turn out nice with abit of practice and a trip to hobbycraft for the right tools!

we looked and some were like £35 each, think she said this cost £15 but obviously would be a bit cheaper when buying the things needed in bulk, and she got it all from craft stores, didnt look on ebay etc

Yeah it would be even cheaper to make if she bought everything in bulk, which she could easily do. Cheapest i've found so far is £20. I've seen a huuuuge version that looks incredible but is £65!

icing sugar made up like glue paste but she cut a tny bit of the bottom of each marshmallow so that was sticky too

We're making sweet trees as centrepieces with chupa chups lollies on and liquorice allsorts, should cost about £9 per tree which is handy as we need 14 of them! Couldn't afford £20-30 per table for flowers or bought in trees :-)

Theres three ways to stick your sweets on, cocktail sticks, glue gun (wrapped sweets) or icing sugar (unwrapped sweets) This is my first one with sweeties attached. Found some individually wrapped chocolate orange segments in a wellknown supermarket with green logo so thinking of doing another with these. Will post a pic when complete.
